Look Who's Here!

I knew they were coming. And they went straight here in our house after my mom and my eldest sister met with their mother somewhere in Monumento. I never expected that their mom would be "kind" enough to let her in-laws see my brother's twins since she run away from my mom's house more than a year ago.

But... she did. And I'm glad that the twins are okay. The eldest, Patrick Ace, was cute enough that he let me carried him around the house considering it's his first time to see me. But not with the youngest, Paolo Allen, he cried his heart out when Ate Len gave him to me and right on cue, my dearest brother called up and I said to him, "Paolo don't like me, I will only buy gifts for Patrick." I can sense a relieved sigh on his laugh. It is because we've been in difficult situation (as far as our relationship is concern). And me and youngest sister hardly talk to him after that.

I don't know yet the reaction of my sister. Besides, were the one who's battling out for our families pride and dignity before. Well, good thing I love my brother and the twins have nothing to do with our "war" with their mom, and this is the season of love and yes, I bought them a cute pair of pooh dresses. But the truth is - I'm happy to see them both.

Family Bonding Time

As we celebrate the birth of Papa Jesus, we appreciate all His blessings that He gave us and I'm very grateful I got to be with my family and celebrate with them. Amidst the black out we encountered at 1am (where the kids were about to open their gifts) all was well. After we went to Church yesterday, we stroll around Mall of Asia, and gosh, I thought all people were already in the mall that time, it was so crowded. But for the sake of the children, we endured all the lines and people just to watch Shake, Rattle an Roll X and we manage to get a better seat and my hubby was sleeping most of the scenes because he said it's boring and he can't believe he's watching it (ha-ha!) But the children did really enjoy the movie. After that, we braced the heavy rain just to fulfill my promise to my best friend Emy that I will go to their house that evening. She gave me a camera case and it's so cute! It was a Happy Christmas after all.

Rush! Rush!

I can't believe its actually raining! Good thing we already bought all the things we needed and we may not go back at the market again ( I hope!) Suddenly, i felt really really tired. Since I wake up early this morning and the moment we stepped inside our house back from the market, I've been working non-stop preparing foods for Noche Buena. But its okay, I enjoy cooking for them. And i need to make it good!

Hubby wants me to go out with him today. He said he'll by me my Christmas gift. But i want to sleep. Thinking I'll b doing lots of stuffs in the kitchen, makes me feel tired again. And he has another job for me to do, wrapping his little gifts for his office mates. Whew! But they're cute though.... see?

Well, got some great news from the office! January 2 is now officially a non-working holiday! Wow!, long vacation indeed! Clap!clap!clap!

It's Time

Whew! I never noticed that my last post is way back 6 days ago. It's been a very busy week for me. Lot's of party preparations, last minute shopping, nursing my unfailing colds and flu, wrapping gifts and working all day. And here I am still awake though my eyes seem to close any time now. I just finished my graham cake (by request) and I still want to watch one more episode of my fave US TV series "One Tree Hill". But since I actually had my way to file a leave of absence tomorrow, I might save the marathon watching on the coming days. Lucky for us (employees), we have an 8 days vacation till January 1! Imagine that!

We still need to wake up very early today (since it's officially Dec. 24 now) to go to the market and bump my way out to buy the best pork, beef, chicken and veggies I needed.

By request again, menu for tonight will be; buko pandan salad, baked macaroni, graham cake, relyenong bangus, roasted pork, grilled pusit (squid), chicken lollipop and chopseuy. I need a cape so I can transform into a Super Cook! Haha! I might need to drink red bull for an extra energy. Hubby or Mom might be kind enough to lend a helping hand. The good thing is my whole family will be spending Christmas with us here! I'm so happy and this is the second year they'd be doing that, and it will surely be fun!

I’m saving my Christmas greeting guys! =)

Its In The Air

Christmas is nearing. I can feel the cool air whenever I stepped out of our house. Hubby feels it too, he never bothers me to open the aircon because he always complains that it's hot. Now, he settles to our electric fan and it's stil cold. Though the sun shines every morning, I never feel like sweating.... the air is cold enough for me to remember that it's hot.

I still yet to complete my gifts shopping. I was too sick for the last few days and malling today is like you want to give yourself a massive head ache. Too crowded. I just hope i have enough time this weekend to finish it all.

Vince is so cute in this picture. Whenever i said to him that he should be serious in my every shot for i will used it here in my blog, he would pose with his dazzling smile. And yes, my sister completed her gifts.

Life begins at 40

Today is my Ate Lhen's 40th birthday. Yes, i know she's so proud that she reached the age of 40 being healthy, jolly, cheerful and most of all - the kindest ate i know. We gave her a party last Saturday and we fulfilled her childhood dreams - of having a children party she once dreamed off (haha!) And so, me and my youngest sister planned for this, with the cake, balloons, tables and chairs, banners and lots of food. And she was really surprised! We can see the big smile she had on her face when she saw the set-ups in the garden and i'm so happy for her.

Giving all the credit for the love, support, being the eldest in our family, Ate Lhen was the one who really helped me to get through the college finances. She's one of the kind. We had a lot of arguments and been through rough times but at the end of it all, blood is really thicker than water.

I just want to wish her good health and happiness. As she said - life begins at 40, she can be sure i will support her all though out. Happy Birthday Ate Lhen! and you know that I and jhon loves you.

a yummy feast!
she's really 40!

fullfilling her wish... balloons!

Company's Christmas Party

Last Friday, Dec. 12 spells fun for us here in the office. It's our Company's Christmas party! The HR dept. announced an early knock-off at 3:30pm for all of us to have more time to prepare and travel to SMX convention center in Mall of Asia. It's my first time there. The whole function room was huge and we had a holy mass before the party. The food was great (thank goodness!) and we really had fun (at least with our happy team rogether).

So here's the pictures of the event. Though our team never get any single price drawn from the raffle (what a fate!) i guessed that everyone's happy watching all the performers doing their best for the P20k top price.
our happy team! getting ready for the side dance =)

muching our way to the yummy desserts

the food, though i like the baked siti more....

before the real party start, happy faces!

At least your happy

... from all the lies.. from the make believe stories... from hiding it well... from simply ignoring all the precautions and limitations... for defying all the rules... for all the disappointments...

You've said it all.  At least we did some good deeds on our part.  If happiness for you means misery to others, suit yourself.  I guess you'll never know it will be back to you someday.... you can call it karma.

Too Much Medicines

With the throbbing head and the ear that pains every time I laugh and talk aloud, I know I needed to take some medicines to ease the burden. But I'm so sick and tired in taking different kinds of medicines and I been doing it the whole year when I was sick. I felt drugged all over. Fruits juice and water won't help, i don't know what's with my immunity system that repels them and instead wanted be to get drugged.

Hubby wanted me to rest at home today but he can't stay either, leaving me all alone in the room. So i decided I should return to work though I'm really weak and my head ache really bothers me. I really really hate it.

I had a chance to see my 3 high school friends last night, and i can't say no to them when they picked me up in our house to pay a visit to the funeral of the father of my another high school classmate. They got a car and they won't leave till I'm with them. I hardly see them and hubby allowed me to go and reminded me to bring the jacket. After we left the funeral, we decided to move in at McDonalds and we relived all happy and sad moments we had during high school days and talking about our life now. I realized how they missed all my clown moments, how they laugh with all my corny jokes, and i felt that small area in McDo will burst out together with our laughter. I never felt sick at all that time. I'm so happy i got that precious time with them coz i know we all have our own family now. Too great our hubby's were so understanding. We got up there at 11:30pm - imagine that! I told hubby that they are the best buddies i had in school. Too bad though, i forgot to bring my camera, but i got here a recent picture (we're not complete that time) taken last Nov. 15 when we attended the 7th birthday party of Emy's (the one wearing white blouse) daughter at Max's.

Though the years, we seldom see each other a lot. But meeting them - i sometimes felt we are in the same classroom all over again.

Plants and Flowers atbp.

The bazaar held in my mother place in Laguna last Saturday was quite successful for the first timers' concessionaire like my sister. Few hours later after we established the entire flower and plants for sale, a woman asked for the roses and she bought 7 pots on the spot without bargaining the price. When my father and sister assists her to the car, she deserves to be called rich. Her car is amazing! =)

I stayed for few more hours in their store and told my sis I need to go back to the house because I'm starting to feel the chill i had inside since I woke up that morning. I've got a worst case of tonsillitis; my whole body is aching (first day of the "red" day) and my body temperature was 38 degrees. Yes, I know, I am sick again. And it doesn't feel good at all. Though my mom said I needed to stay there till Sunday so I can rest, I told them I just rest at home and let hubby do his duty as caring husband (hehehe)

And here I am, alone in our room, nursing a headache and feeling dizzy. I hope i can go back to my hubby place again before our Christmas party this Friday.

Rainy Friday

I woke up feeling cold and I knew that moment that it was raining hard outside. This are the times when you don't want to get up from bed and you wished its weekend so you can go back to sleep. But no, it's not yet weekend and just Friday = (

What's the plan this weekend? My family will join the bazaar this weekend ( I don't know how they can make up the sales since it's raining) and my father will be selling variety of plants and flowers. I'm excited 'coz it's their first time and we will try our luck in selling. A dazzling smile to the customer will help (ha!ha!)

Hubby won't be able to come with me tonight (huwaaah!). He has to finish the training session for his newly hired engineer tomorrow but he asked me If I can go back on Saturday night (missing me? =) and - of course I will.

Reading again

I grabbed the opportunity to buy the other book of Stephenie Meyer's The Host when it went on sale for 10% off.  I have read some good reviews on this one and honestly, I'm just curious to find out if her first book is as good as her Twilight Saga.

The Host is an alien invasion story - with the twist of course.  I already ready the first 3 chapters and so far so good.   I don't want to interrupt my reading but my eyes were closing on its own.  Maybe I need to really sleep and rest early since I haven't sleep well since I did the marathon reading on the Twilight's 1-4 books.

Now, I have something to read this weekend.  After this, I'll try to find another books to read since I'm in a mood in doing it.  Do I ever get tired on reading? My answer is Yes.

But i know this reading frenzy is just temporary.  I do love to read books, really.  I'm a hopeless romantic, I still go for a love stories. =)

He's been eyeing this one when we checked on the Nike boutique and he's not the only one remembering what it is. And i promised to myself i will get back to it someday and getting our 13th month pay is a trigger. I bought it yesterday and i'll gonna give to him before Christmas day, so he can use it on their Christmas party this December 11.

It's a Jordan Jumpman pro basketball shoes. And it will really suits him.

Free Time

I got a lot of time today to blog, to download songs, to watch movie in the net and to browse for more Rob "Edward Cullen" Pattinson interviews in YouTube. Haha! I told you, I still have these vampire madness in me. And why I am doing all of these right now when I posted yesterday that we will try to finish all the buying and stuffs? Well, hubby was being called in the office, emergency and everything, coz he said they have a major virus outbreak. I even joked him; is it dengue virus or what? (lol!)

With me alone in the room gave me more time to do some gift wrapping job for the items we bought months ago. And here yah! the finished products =) And i'm still waiting for the delivery of my book shelf, so happy!

Happy Weekend everyone! =)

Friday Fun!

It's Friday today and I'm anticipating the 3-day vacation ahead since Monday is declared as holiday.  We might have to grab this chance to run some errands in the mall and complete his shopping lists mostly for his godchildren.  Hubby appreciate more on giving gifts rather than giving them money.  He loves to see their faces lighten up when he gave them their gift.  Hubby is such a soft hearted and just want to make everybody happy.

I planned to go to Quaiapo or Sta. Cruz tomorrow because we miss the place.  It's been so long since we go there and we would like to eat in our favorite Chinese restaurant in Ongpin.  We must be very careful though, as i said that this is also the season of stealing.  I wish to bring my sister's medals that she want me to put in frame as our Christmas gift to her.  I know in Quiapo we can have a good bargain and with quality.

We have so many things to do. And i said that this is really my lucky month coz hubby bought the book shelf I wanted and it will be delivered tomorrow! Wow, i can't wait to see it =)

What's Wrong?

I was bubbly and cheerful when I sat on my chair this here in the office this morning. I was talking about the Twilight movie that they want to watch too this weekend. At least, I have another motivation on this job which I really eager to leave each day. Actually, when i answered an organizational survey last Tuesday, all i wrote there were all our complains concerning our workplace ventilation and employees welfare. Since the survey doesn't need to include who you are, I might as well grab the chance to say what's really happening here.

And now, my joyous moods are all gone when I heard all the ranting and complains of one of the boss here and she can't even listen up to my office mate's explanations. She just keep on telling us that we are doing is wrong and we should follow the process, don't change it, and she keeps on coming here in our area when she thinks she has another bomb to explode right down in our face. She was just like that the whole week and we are wondering why.

I guess some good things never last. I might practice a never-mind-them face here. Oh, well.

Happy!

Because I was able to watch Twilight movie just now! First day of showing and it feels really great! Whoa! The Edward Cullen mania were visible inside the movie theater when he first showed up in the big screen. And i admit, I feel like a teenager again (giggling a lot) even when my hubby's beside me. He just smiles coz he knows how far I can "like" a certain Hollywood actors and eventually stop when the fever is over. So, he was kind of used to with me like that =)

So the proof is here and I told him that I will keep this ticket till the last movie of Twilight saga will be shown in theater. And i will place it per every book. How's that? (haha!)

Happy because we went to check some book shelves in the hypermarket and I saw one that I really want and the style, it fits. I sweetly told him that's the one I want for Christmas and he answered that he taught the book set were his gift. But i argue that how are my books without a proper book shelf? He thinks I am being clever but I am =) And so, this weekend, we will buy the book shelf in SM. Yeheey!

See, November is quite a lucky month for me. Let's see how my December would be.

HOME ALONE

Hubby with the rest of his family decided to go to Pampanga today.  I can't go with them, i was enlisted in the last batch of attendees for our e.performance training and i might not be evaluated if i don't attend (really, it's been a swift scapegoat not to go there too!) My sister willingly allowed us to borrowed her car.  And they off to go....

Hubby text me they are on the way home now though i'm not really alone, Chase is with me and he is dead tired from barking the whole day in my sisters house in Pasay (where they dropped them before they hit the road going to Pampanga)...  I scanned some Youtube videos of Rob Pattinson (my newest hollywood crush) and downloaded some songs in limewire.  I was jotting some notes on our Christmas lists and hubby's long line of  godchildren.  And it gives me a head ache =)

Back to the Real World

Yes! I finally finished the forth book of the Twilight Saga. I was stunned by the sudden twists of events in the book and we know that the story was just as impossible to be real - but still, i really can't help smiling after reading the last book, we all love to see a happy ending right? And Stephenie Meyer surely gave that to us. The books can now be added in my collections and it really felt so good reading.

When hubby and I came home from the mall, we're surprised with the heavy Christmas basket that our family friend sent us. Wow, the goodies in there were really yummy! And i just thought if i could just display it right across our dining table beside the Christmas center piece I made. And it looks perfect! Hehehe, i hope it will stay there till Christmas... and if hubby won't raid the basket =)

Hesitated

Hubby asked me last night that if maybe we could visit his Aunt in Pampanga on her birthday next week. He wants to borrow my sister's car so everyone could come along. I don't know what to say, but really, I don't want to go there. Leaving from work is easy, I know - I still have lots of t that I can use till December. The problem is - I don't feel I can take a minute or an hour being on his cousin's house. I just don't want to be there no matter how i want to heed on his request. I know I hurt his feeling on the direct "No" answer from me but its better than to asked him when we are already there to leave and go back home. I still have those not so good memories and encounters with his cousin and I don't want to ruin their party because I can't blend in. It just happen that his favorite Aunt (which I also fond of) is living in his i-don't-want-to-see cousin's house. I have lots of reasons and i know he understand me, he can asked for everything but i don't want to smile and be happy when i know i'm stirring inside. I am not ready and he knows that.

Well, i know we can still talk about it.

By the way, i still can't get over with my vampire mania. And i got really frustrated when i found out that the movie Twilight will be shown here by next week and not this week! I'm reading the book 3 ( eclipse) now and i already read the unpublished draft of Stephenie Meyer's book entitled Midnight Sun, i hope she will be able to change her mind and finish the book which i know will still be a bestseller because it is the story of Edward Cullen - his thoughts and feelings and his views. I'm begging hubby not to insist on playing a network game this week for i want to concentrate on reading (hahaha!) i said once i am over it then i'm back to my real world (lol!) Hay, it good to be in love, human or inhuman you may be... haha!

PRE-OCCUPIED

"I told you so." I said to hubby when the whole Sunday and last night that he can't seems to interrupt me while reading the books of Twilight. And as i finished reading book 2, entitled New Moon, I said to myself i have to halt on reading because i will feel the withdrawal syndrome once I finish the 4 books in 4-5 days time. But these books are really tempting, I'm in Bella Swan and Edward Cullen's world every time I sit in the couch or lay down to bed reading their story with only the side bed lamp is lighted. I even told Milet that i want to be a vampire (lol!)

And i can't wait to watch the Twilight movie that will be shown in our theaters soon! I picture Bella and Edward on how they really look in the book from this movie poster except that i know that Edward's beauty is beyond imaginable.
Uhum... see? I'm really hooked! And i love it. =)

Surprise!!

Yes, i was awed, a bit shocked and indeed surprised when hubby approached me carrying something on his hand. And he smiled at me and said he is going to buy these books. When I take a look at it, it is the entire Twilight Saga of Stephenie Meyer! To think I am planning to buy these books when i have our bonus next month. Really, hubby can read my mind. He knew that I love to buy that thing once i kept on looking at it every time we go on that place, and he remembers it. I know I said to him that i hate surprises but these books are one thing that i thank him for over and over last night.

For the past years that I completed the books of Harry Potter, he made an early reservation to any branch of National Bookstore for me to first read the books just like the others. And now, I have new books to indulge with that once I read it, I'll never stop till me eyes hurt. He said to me that it's my Christmas gift, and yes, I will settle with it.

Happy Sunday, friends! =)

Saturday, Payday!

It's Saturday and yes, It's payday...! My hubby said I'm lucky... Because God is really good that we got the money we are expecting and some of the expenses are being paid one at the time. We had in a financial crisis last few months when Tatay was hospitalized three times in 3 months. And we all know that expenses just didn't end after you checked out from the hospital. But we managed to pull it through. Maybe our strong willed spirits help us to make it through the rain.

I'm lucky today because hubby said i can have my salary and can buy anything i want without worrying of paying any bills. Wow! Isn't great?! But I'm not an impulse buyer and i'm not a big spender too. So, I just save most of it because next month will surely drain our atm.

We have a party to attend this afternoon. It's the 7th birthday of my high school best friend's daughter. Hay, time flies. And the next thing we know, it's her debut na. Hubby is in the office right now training his newly employed engineers. We'll pick him up before we go to the party venue. And i bet, after that we will go to the mall. Hubby never forgets to do that every weekend no matter how busy he can be.

Back to business

I will start for a not so new work job here in the office tomorrow, it's been over a month since I trained a colleague in replacement on my very tedious work that i once had for more than 4 years. And now i can say that i'm finally free! (clap! clap! clap!)

Hmmm... i just hope i can adjust easily to my new work. Though i know a background of it, there are lots of new process and updates that i surely have to learn. But that is much easier than what I've been doing in the export department. And I'm so glad that i am here already.

And i have to welcome myself in the "new" world. =)

Yesterday - I was sick

I spent my night last night coughing and I barely sleep so the result by morning - a truly head splitting headache. I tried to take a bath hoping the pain would go away but its still there and so I decided that I can't go to work and laid beside hubby and sleep again.

But sleeping didn't help a bit, it made me feel worse. Hubby got an early meeting and I know it will be one boring and painful day for me. I don't know why but this year is not a healthy year for me. I almost used all of my sick leaves at work because I had either a fever, cough, flu, ear problems etc. They don't want to leave me, really =(

So i drowsed in our bed and try to read my November issue of Readers Digest but my eyes seems drooling while reading so I stopped. I tried to open up the pc so i can blog but facing the monitor triggers another headache so I lay down again. Here comes the heavy rain and the cold weather is inviting me to sleep but all I can do was to tossed and turned till I felt that my eyes are swelling trying to get some sleep.

Good thing hubby came home early. He was so worried that I skipped lunch and he knows that it's very unlikely of me (me ganun? =) and asked me if I have fever. He told me that most of his office mates have cough and flu. Hay, blame it to the weather and the global warming. But i hope I get well soon. Maybe I just need to rest but until now, the headache is still here but it's quite tolerable unlike yesterday.

My busy weekend

I can't say no to hubby asking me to stroll in the mall yesterday though I'm tired and sleepy from decorating our house for Christmas. Good thing Mico was there to lend his little helping hand giving me some things I needed so I don't need to get down and up while decorating.

We bought some Christmas pillows for our sofa set and my hubby wants to maintain the "green" motif of our decorations. But i put some gold touch on the others coz pure green looks bland to me. I didn't assemble the Christmas tree yet; I need to finish my check list first so I can buy them all in one shot.

And with the prices of the decorations went up when I did some window shopping yesterday, I know it will be a big slice to our budget. But it really feels good seeing those lights and decors in your home. It's so relaxing.

And before we headed home, we stop by at Cheesecakes, atbp and ordered Berry Blue and Mango cheesecakes, yummy!

Domesticated

I decided not to go to Laguna this weekend to do this plan - a major room clean-up. Hubby wants me to put some Christmas decors on our room so that when he wakes up in the morning he can feel that Christmas is really in the air (ha-ha!) We are the best tag team ever in decorating our house. He always supports me in that aspect and he believes in my home fashion taste.

And imagine cleaning up our room wall to wall, I suddenly collapsed to one side and gasp for air. It was so hot and I'm sweating all over (well, good for the fats) and the hubby immediately ordered McDonalds for our snacks. Wow! I was so touched! When I asked him why Mcdo and not just bread and Coke from the nearby bakery, he said this is very unusual of me and he has to order good food for his wife who's doing a tedious job. Ha-ha! what a compliment!

So tomorrow, I'll be checking our Christmas decors so I would know if I needed to change or throw or buy a new one. I bet the Christmas lights are definitely on the buy lists. Hmmm.... meaning I have another work to do.

Happy weekend, friends! =)
