Look Who's Here!

I knew they were coming. And they went straight here in our house after my mom and my eldest sister met with their mother somewhere in Monumento. I never expected that their mom would be "kind" enough to let her in-laws see my brother's twins since she run away from my mom's house more than a year ago.

But... she did. And I'm glad that the twins are okay. The eldest, Patrick Ace, was cute enough that he let me carried him around the house considering it's his first time to see me. But not with the youngest, Paolo Allen, he cried his heart out when Ate Len gave him to me and right on cue, my dearest brother called up and I said to him, "Paolo don't like me, I will only buy gifts for Patrick." I can sense a relieved sigh on his laugh. It is because we've been in difficult situation (as far as our relationship is concern). And me and youngest sister hardly talk to him after that.

I don't know yet the reaction of my sister. Besides, were the one who's battling out for our families pride and dignity before. Well, good thing I love my brother and the twins have nothing to do with our "war" with their mom, and this is the season of love and yes, I bought them a cute pair of pooh dresses. But the truth is - I'm happy to see them both.

Family Bonding Time

As we celebrate the birth of Papa Jesus, we appreciate all His blessings that He gave us and I'm very grateful I got to be with my family and celebrate with them. Amidst the black out we encountered at 1am (where the kids were about to open their gifts) all was well. After we went to Church yesterday, we stroll around Mall of Asia, and gosh, I thought all people were already in the mall that time, it was so crowded. But for the sake of the children, we endured all the lines and people just to watch Shake, Rattle an Roll X and we manage to get a better seat and my hubby was sleeping most of the scenes because he said it's boring and he can't believe he's watching it (ha-ha!) But the children did really enjoy the movie. After that, we braced the heavy rain just to fulfill my promise to my best friend Emy that I will go to their house that evening. She gave me a camera case and it's so cute! It was a Happy Christmas after all.

Rush! Rush!

I can't believe its actually raining! Good thing we already bought all the things we needed and we may not go back at the market again ( I hope!) Suddenly, i felt really really tired. Since I wake up early this morning and the moment we stepped inside our house back from the market, I've been working non-stop preparing foods for Noche Buena. But its okay, I enjoy cooking for them. And i need to make it good!

Hubby wants me to go out with him today. He said he'll by me my Christmas gift. But i want to sleep. Thinking I'll b doing lots of stuffs in the kitchen, makes me feel tired again. And he has another job for me to do, wrapping his little gifts for his office mates. Whew! But they're cute though.... see?

Well, got some great news from the office! January 2 is now officially a non-working holiday! Wow!, long vacation indeed! Clap!clap!clap!

It's Time

Whew! I never noticed that my last post is way back 6 days ago. It's been a very busy week for me. Lot's of party preparations, last minute shopping, nursing my unfailing colds and flu, wrapping gifts and working all day. And here I am still awake though my eyes seem to close any time now. I just finished my graham cake (by request) and I still want to watch one more episode of my fave US TV series "One Tree Hill". But since I actually had my way to file a leave of absence tomorrow, I might save the marathon watching on the coming days. Lucky for us (employees), we have an 8 days vacation till January 1! Imagine that!

We still need to wake up very early today (since it's officially Dec. 24 now) to go to the market and bump my way out to buy the best pork, beef, chicken and veggies I needed.

By request again, menu for tonight will be; buko pandan salad, baked macaroni, graham cake, relyenong bangus, roasted pork, grilled pusit (squid), chicken lollipop and chopseuy. I need a cape so I can transform into a Super Cook! Haha! I might need to drink red bull for an extra energy. Hubby or Mom might be kind enough to lend a helping hand. The good thing is my whole family will be spending Christmas with us here! I'm so happy and this is the second year they'd be doing that, and it will surely be fun!

I’m saving my Christmas greeting guys! =)

Its In The Air

Christmas is nearing. I can feel the cool air whenever I stepped out of our house. Hubby feels it too, he never bothers me to open the aircon because he always complains that it's hot. Now, he settles to our electric fan and it's stil cold. Though the sun shines every morning, I never feel like sweating.... the air is cold enough for me to remember that it's hot.

I still yet to complete my gifts shopping. I was too sick for the last few days and malling today is like you want to give yourself a massive head ache. Too crowded. I just hope i have enough time this weekend to finish it all.

Vince is so cute in this picture. Whenever i said to him that he should be serious in my every shot for i will used it here in my blog, he would pose with his dazzling smile. And yes, my sister completed her gifts.

Life begins at 40

Today is my Ate Lhen's 40th birthday. Yes, i know she's so proud that she reached the age of 40 being healthy, jolly, cheerful and most of all - the kindest ate i know. We gave her a party last Saturday and we fulfilled her childhood dreams - of having a children party she once dreamed off (haha!) And so, me and my youngest sister planned for this, with the cake, balloons, tables and chairs, banners and lots of food. And she was really surprised! We can see the big smile she had on her face when she saw the set-ups in the garden and i'm so happy for her.

Giving all the credit for the love, support, being the eldest in our family, Ate Lhen was the one who really helped me to get through the college finances. She's one of the kind. We had a lot of arguments and been through rough times but at the end of it all, blood is really thicker than water.

I just want to wish her good health and happiness. As she said - life begins at 40, she can be sure i will support her all though out. Happy Birthday Ate Lhen! and you know that I and jhon loves you.

a yummy feast!

fullfilling her wish... balloons!

Company's Christmas Party

Last Friday, Dec. 12 spells fun for us here in the office. It's our Company's Christmas party! The HR dept. announced an early knock-off at 3:30pm for all of us to have more time to prepare and travel to SMX convention center in Mall of Asia. It's my first time there. The whole function room was huge and we had a holy mass before the party. The food was great (thank goodness!) and we really had fun (at least with our happy team rogether).

So here's the pictures of the event. Though our team never get any single price drawn from the raffle (what a fate!) i guessed that everyone's happy watching all the performers doing their best for the P20k top price.
our happy team! getting ready for the side dance =)

muching our way to the yummy desserts

the food, though i like the baked siti more....

before the real party start, happy faces!

At least your happy

... from all the lies.. from the make believe stories... from hiding it well... from simply ignoring all the precautions and limitations... for defying all the rules... for all the disappointments...

You've said it all.  At least we did some good deeds on our part.  If happiness for you means misery to others, suit yourself.  I guess you'll never know it will be back to you someday.... you can call it karma.

Too Much Medicines

With the throbbing head and the ear that pains every time I laugh and talk aloud, I know I needed to take some medicines to ease the burden. But I'm so sick and tired in taking different kinds of medicines and I been doing it the whole year when I was sick. I felt drugged all over. Fruits juice and water won't help, i don't know what's with my immunity system that repels them and instead wanted be to get drugged.

Hubby wanted me to rest at home today but he can't stay either, leaving me all alone in the room. So i decided I should return to work though I'm really weak and my head ache really bothers me. I really really hate it.

I had a chance to see my 3 high school friends last night, and i can't say no to them when they picked me up in our house to pay a visit to the funeral of the father of my another high school classmate. They got a car and they won't leave till I'm with them. I hardly see them and hubby allowed me to go and reminded me to bring the jacket. After we left the funeral, we decided to move in at McDonalds and we relived all happy and sad moments we had during high school days and talking about our life now. I realized how they missed all my clown moments, how they laugh with all my corny jokes, and i felt that small area in McDo will burst out together with our laughter. I never felt sick at all that time. I'm so happy i got that precious time with them coz i know we all have our own family now. Too great our hubby's were so understanding. We got up there at 11:30pm - imagine that! I told hubby that they are the best buddies i had in school. Too bad though, i forgot to bring my camera, but i got here a recent picture (we're not complete that time) taken last Nov. 15 when we attended the 7th birthday party of Emy's (the one wearing white blouse) daughter at Max's.

Though the years, we seldom see each other a lot. But meeting them - i sometimes felt we are in the same classroom all over again.

Plants and Flowers atbp.

The bazaar held in my mother place in Laguna last Saturday was quite successful for the first timers' concessionaire like my sister. Few hours later after we established the entire flower and plants for sale, a woman asked for the roses and she bought 7 pots on the spot without bargaining the price. When my father and sister assists her to the car, she deserves to be called rich. Her car is amazing! =)

I stayed for few more hours in their store and told my sis I need to go back to the house because I'm starting to feel the chill i had inside since I woke up that morning. I've got a worst case of tonsillitis; my whole body is aching (first day of the "red" day) and my body temperature was 38 degrees. Yes, I know, I am sick again. And it doesn't feel good at all. Though my mom said I needed to stay there till Sunday so I can rest, I told them I just rest at home and let hubby do his duty as caring husband (hehehe)

And here I am, alone in our room, nursing a headache and feeling dizzy. I hope i can go back to my hubby place again before our Christmas party this Friday.

Rainy Friday

I woke up feeling cold and I knew that moment that it was raining hard outside. This are the times when you don't want to get up from bed and you wished its weekend so you can go back to sleep. But no, it's not yet weekend and just Friday = (

What's the plan this weekend? My family will join the bazaar this weekend ( I don't know how they can make up the sales since it's raining) and my father will be selling variety of plants and flowers. I'm excited 'coz it's their first time and we will try our luck in selling. A dazzling smile to the customer will help (ha!ha!)

Hubby won't be able to come with me tonight (huwaaah!). He has to finish the training session for his newly hired engineer tomorrow but he asked me If I can go back on Saturday night (missing me? =) and - of course I will.

Reading again

I grabbed the opportunity to buy the other book of Stephenie Meyer's The Host when it went on sale for 10% off.  I have read some good reviews on this one and honestly, I'm just curious to find out if her first book is as good as her Twilight Saga.

The Host is an alien invasion story - with the twist of course.  I already ready the first 3 chapters and so far so good.   I don't want to interrupt my reading but my eyes were closing on its own.  Maybe I need to really sleep and rest early since I haven't sleep well since I did the marathon reading on the Twilight's 1-4 books.

Now, I have something to read this weekend.  After this, I'll try to find another books to read since I'm in a mood in doing it.  Do I ever get tired on reading? My answer is Yes.

But i know this reading frenzy is just temporary.  I do love to read books, really.  I'm a hopeless romantic, I still go for a love stories. =)

He's been eyeing this one when we checked on the Nike boutique and he's not the only one remembering what it is. And i promised to myself i will get back to it someday and getting our 13th month pay is a trigger. I bought it yesterday and i'll gonna give to him before Christmas day, so he can use it on their Christmas party this December 11.

It's a Jordan Jumpman pro basketball shoes. And it will really suits him.
