Busy Week

There are lots of things happened last weekend. I’m so busy that I can only read blogs and no posts at all. My brother left to Qatar last Sunday morning. And we went to Laguna with him for his despedida dinner and they talked over a drinks and I went to my Mom’s room to watched They Kiss Again Taiwan drama series =) We went home after we sent Kuya at the airport at 2 am since his flight is 6 am. I'm so tired because we are in the mall that whole Saturday and we even watched the movie “Knowing” which stars Nicolas Cage. It was all about end of the world. Kind of creepy though.

I left my camera at Laguna and I have so many pictures in it. My hubby’s birthday is on Sunday. And I can’t decide if we will have to do it on an out of town outing or just stay at home. Hmmm….

Dampa Night

I know assembling a group of people are not that easy especially if that get together requires contribution in form of money.  Well, mostly of the effort and planning comes from me.  And sometimes, I felt this kind of frustration when the date of the event comes, they hesitated to go. When from the beginning of the planning stage they are too willing to participate.  Oh well, you really can’t please everybody.

Good news the planned for a get together at Dampa in Paranaque pushed through last night.  I’m so happy to see that most of us in the office were able to come and me and three of my colleague went at the place first so we can buy our foods at the wet market. I choose to be there during off peak days so we can have a better seat and place to eat.  And we selected a place where we can enjoy and sing a long after the feast.  We did enjoy the night, we feasted on the foods, they lined up for a shot of a song in videoke and most of all, the guys did all the dancing to the extent of having a small group of audience outside the restaurant (ha-ha!) To think they don’t even drink beer or wine.  All well that ends well.  Everybody was full and satisfied and they really wish we can have do it again someday.

Wala ng pansinan toh! lol!

Weird Day

I never  thought that the black thick clouds were talking about outside our office yesterday will heavily poured down as if a bucket of water is directly on top of your head.  Yes, I am one of those unfortunate commuters that feel the wrath of the sky at Sucat, Paranaque and having a single 2-fold umbrella won’t help me from being so wet all over.  But I feel sad for those children coming from their school and those babies that were caught off guard by a sudden heavy shower. Within seconds, they are all wet and it’s not good for the health because that whole day was so hot and sunny and the rain is really unexpected.

The worst is, at fx taxi, after a few blocks, the road were all dry and no trace of even a single drop of rain at all.  It’s so unfair! I’m chilling to the bones and suddenly you’ve noticed that you’re the only one left all wet and new passengers are definitely dry.  See the effects of the global warming? It’s so weird and scary sometimes.

I have to take a bath when I reached home so I won’t catch a fever or cough.  And I immediately cooked our dinner viand (pork curry) because my hubby’s office mate visits us and borrowed some VCD movies.  We had a small talk in our room and after she left, I continue watching my Asian dramas.  Oh, well, I’m hooked in watching  again.

Fated to Love You

The main casts of Fated to Love You

                                                                   pix credits to tom.com

With all the Asian dramas I’ve watched, I know Fated to Love you is a typical story of a fairy tale romance.  But aside from the familiar cute face of Chen Xin Yu (Chen Qiao En) and the loving and handsome face of Ji Yun Xi (Ethan Ruan) this story will make you cry, smile and laugh all the way to the end.  I long stopped from watching Asian dramas since I was hooked again in reading books and watching US TV series.  I first heard about it when my office mate keeps talking about it and even asked me how to get a wallpaper of this hit Taiwan series.  Since I become so curious that I started to asked questions on the story line and she said it was being shown in Channel 7. Darn, we are solid Kapamilya (Cha.2) and never can I have a chance to change the channel when my in-laws stocked in the TV screen from 6pm – 10:30pm straight, every weekdays.

And so I bought a DVD of this series and start watching it just last weekend. The story moved me that If ever hubby will see me, he will start to tease and laugh at my smiling then crying expressions. I was so freaking hooked on this series and loving it. Most of the time, I was teary eyed because being so forgiving and selfless person are very rare in this world. The story was so touching. But then it was a happy ending, we can surely believe that love will always finds it way. Press on! =)

First Ever

It is my one dream to have a bakeshop or cake shop someday.  Though I know It requires a lot of study, effort, knowledge and money to start, I can only wish that I can fulfill it just by doing it at home.  I started buying one by one some important things needed in baking like sifter, spatula, scooper, wire whisk, measuring cups/spoons and bowls.  Though I have few cake pans at home, I still needed more just in case I venture more on this long lost hobby of mine.

And so one night, thinking I have to test my baking power, I try doing the easiest cake I known on earth, the Banana Cake (lol!) My mother in-law and hubby’s aunt gladly help me prepare all the ingredients needed and eagerly watch as I put the cake pan in the oven.

After 35 minutes, and after a toothpick I inserted came out clean, I know, I just made my first ever crunchy banana cake and hubby loves it! He said its even better from the banana cake he tasted before (or he was just being nice for my effort, he-he) But those who tasted it said I should make it as a business.  O di ba, I am so happy, I am inspired to bake more cakes in the future.

Take a look at the picture =)

Unlikely Reunion

My brother called my hubby and asked him if we are busy. He told him what’s up? And he said he wanted to invite all of us in the family to have a get together in our other house in Laguna before he goes back to Qatar next week. And yes, I turned out to be an unlikely reunion after all. We haven’t been complete most of the time coz our eldest sister and my brother were abroad and sometimes, Dad are in the province.

We bought so much to eat that day and our family friend brought a cake and ice creams and at night, aside for grilling pork, we bought ready to eat pansit, chopseuy, crispy pata and lumpiang shanghai from a Chinese Restaurant. It is indeed a food feast and they indulged a green label Johnnie Walker as we shared some stories in the garden. It was past midnight that we decided to go home as hubby needs to be in the office today to supervised one of their major activities at work. Now, after blogging, I and Mico will attend my high school classmate’s son 1st birthday at 2pm. And hopefully, we can have some more time to stroll at the mall later at night.

from top to bottom: the kids;Mico, Reine & Vince in the car, th whole gang at SM Muntinlupa (which the guard approached us that it is prohibited to take a shot =) and with Papa and Jona in Laguna.

From Sad to Happy

I went went to Baclaran Church last night alone.  Hubby text me that as much as he wants to go with me, he still had meetings and conference call to attend to.  I thought of asking my sister to be with me but she was out and strolling with my brothers family in Tagaytay.  After church I strolled around Baclaran and bought some delicacies being sold especially during Wednesday mass.  I really am hungry that time and I brave myself to eat alone at Jollibee.  I don’t usually ate alone in a fast food restaurant, I have a tendency to eat fast and really felt so alone (he-he).

Hubby came home late that night but with some happy news.  He was able to talk to his boss about some issues and he felt so relieved.  And seeing him so happy made me smile. I can never think of anything else but to see my hubby happy.  He was so stressed the other night that I saw him eating his dinner with a bite and swallow mode (and forgot that he still needs to chew the food!) and to top it all, being an only son doesn't guarantee you a heavenly life.  It really depends, you know =)

Fashion Site for Men

I know my husband still needs to find ways to improve his fashion taste and I’ve been looking for a site that can help him on that aspect.  Until one day, he showed me the site of ShopWiki.com. This site seeks out every shopping store on the web and it gives a shopper everything and anything for sale when it comes to men's fashion. And ShopWiki.com gives tips, idea and in-style type of what fits you and your budget. Hubby learned a lot from this site and came looking over for the next style he wants to wear during office meetings, presentation or client calls. And even just an ordinary day he now knows what to wear and feels confident about it.

Being in the corporate world requires wearing formal suits almost everyday and they can only dress down on Fridays.  One thing I know is that he is such a fashionable guy who loves to buy something new and likes combining his suits, dress shirts and ties and can still look stylish. And during weekend, my husband loves to wear jeans or cargo pants when travelling or just having a free time at the mall. He really feels good from all of it now. And I’m happy seeing him so happy.
