Country Road

I hesitated at first to agree when hubby said he has this plan of going to his father’s province to visit the cemetery of his late aunt.  It her birthday tomorrow and he keeps on saying about it over and over again as if asking my approval.  He owes a lot to his late Aunt who’s the older sister of his father.  He is her favorite among her nieces and nephews and she believes on what my hubby and she’s been his silent supporter all though out.  I cannot take the gratitude and respect my hubby wants to give to his aunt by saying no to his plan.  So with his new car and with baby Nathan in tow, we will push through with the earlier plans and we’ll all go to Pampanga as early as 530am because his plate number ends with the number coding scheme that falls on Friday so we have to leave the metro road before 7am or else a violation will be serve.

I think my eldest sister, my Mom and his Mom will come too and it will be their first long road trip after more than a year.  I already inform my superior that I will be on leave tomorrow and I hope I still have enough vacation leave to use next month.

Come to think of it, I’m feeling excited for tomorrow’s trip.  Oh, well :)

New Car

My hubby and my sister had one thing in common, they both like cars.  Sometimes they will check on some sites for some latest models and prices.  They even bought magazine just to look on some gorgeous featured cars and dream that one day they will have their own too.  I can only smile on their comparisons between cars and other stuffs and they even plan to buy one someday.

But I think my hubby’s wish will now come true when their company decided to give him a car after he was promoted last month.  He happily alerted us the good news and was very excited about it.  They check on some auto blog just to compare models and they can’t seem to get over with the good news.

I told them to try and check auto transport site to know the transport rates if their company wished to have the car ship to them. If it happens, that makes him the luckiest guy to have his new car in less than a year being in their company.  Well, I just cross my fingers and I hope our plan of the road trip out of town this holiday will come true.

Merry Go Round

We were so amazed on how strong and fearful Nathan is. Sometimes I wonder will he be like that when he grows old but it really depends to us who will be looking and guiding him all though out.  The only thing he won’t try is to walk unattended but I know he can walk already if he wants to.  We sometimes see him stand alone but when he becomes aware that he’ll be walking alone, he’ll sit and just crawl.

But once you let him walk with you holding his other hand, you’ll be surprised on how strong, fast and almost running he can be. He can ride the horse ride in Tom’s World without holding him and even the merry-go-ride in Mall of Asia.  My sister will just stand beside him just in case but he cling to the handle so strong he can even wave his other hand to us.  We are so proud of him.  He loves going out like his Dad and my Mom and I hope he will not include Toy Kingdom as his favorite place in the mall (ha-ha!).

11.11.11

It’s Friday again and yes, the date is 11.11.11.  I’ve read on some news that most of the couple got married today because of this extraordinary date.  But most of us can’t notice the date until you’ve realize that it was indeed rare. But the majority  even bother unless something unusual happens.

I just finished decorating our living room for Christmas and I need few more things to buy for the wall decors and this weekend will be one of the busiest weekends for us.  Nathan will have his 2nd pneumo vaccine tomorrow and we will attend the birthday dinner party of my godchild.  On Sunday, we’ll go to church at Greenbelt and of course, stroll around the area. Hubby wanted me to list down the names  of our godchildren, family and relatives so we won’t me missing someone on the gift giving day.  So I guess I have to start buying gifts as early as today though I already bought few last month.

I heard some not so nice news from my family but I needed to stay on focus.  I lay it all down to God so He’ll give me strength to be strong and tough and look on the brighter and positive side of life.  I have all the reasons to be thankful to Him.

Happy Weekend, blogging friends! ♥

Unlimited

My husband has this new way of relaxing while spending time with us and just tired to go out and to stroll around the mall.  He loves to watch movies online and sometimes downloading his favorite TV series.  When at mall, he doesn’t forget to buy his favorite movies on a local video shop and watched it again at home.

But it really bothers him that some online streaming has this tendency to buffer most of the time and eventually stop in the middle of the drama or action movies.  So I told him to check on some site that offers unlimited streaming so he can watch all his favorite movies all the time.  Just to make sure before subscribing, he can take advantage on netflix free trial offer so he can test their offers without paying.

From there he will experience unlimited access on all movies available online.  That excites him the most and he said he will try to check on the site.  We both love to watch movies and I’m most comfortable watching it at home together with our baby Nathan and prepared home made snacks and do other things unlike when you’re in a movie theater.  We can’t wait to watch another movie again.

Green turns Red

It’s Friday again and our company just announced that our 13th month salary will be credited to our account today.  I can say that it is such a blessing because I needed to buy new Christmas decorations.  I checked on our old decors and I told hubby it’s been years that were still using some of them and he said maybe we can change the color motif to red.  But the problem is most of our Christmas decors are green even the Santa’s socks and wall decors.  I don’t have to throw it away because it’s a waste of money but I have to be more creative so I can still use them.

I was worried on our Christmas tree. Nathan will surely give me a big fight so he can pull the decorations off the tree.  He can now walk with balance around the house and I will have to think wisely so he will have no chance to get near the tree. My in-law suggest not to assemble the tree but our living room brightens just by looking at it so we must plan where to place it out of Nathan’s reach and for his own safety too.

We will have another long weekend and I can’t wait to play and have fun with our baby.

Happy Weekend, blogging friends!

Road Trip

My cousin was so ecstatic when she called us last night that her dad gave her a car as a graduation gift.  She said her parents are so proud that she graduated with honors and she joke about giving her a prize and when asked about it, she replied that she wanted a car this time.  And true to their promise, they gave the key to her brand new car when she came home from her friend house just the other day.

Now, only thing she needed to do is to have her driver’s license.  And she needed to pass all the requirements so she can ride her car any where she wanted to go.  To be able to get her drivers license, she needed to pass her driving written test.  I told her to choose the easiest way because she’s so eager to drive around and she already planned their road trip across the states.  I’m so happy for her, having your own car is a dream come true to every body.  But she got it because she deserves it for studying hard and now it paid off.

I can’t wait to drive with her when we visit them next year!
