Cry Baby

I need to hide my tears from hubby. I know if he saw me crying he will surely tease me. Of course I can’t help but cry while watching Jerry Yan’s drama entitled “Starlit” It was so heart breaking that I couldn't control my emotions. And so I get a tissue and wipe my tears as discreetly as I can while hubby is busy reading his emails. I also tried not to sniff or he can hear it and will ask why. You have to watch this Taiwan series and see for yourself. You must have a stone heart if you don’t find some scenes really heart warming, happy and sad. It’s a story of an extra ordinary love and I know somewhere you can find this story true to some other people. I like Jerry Yan and this drama deserves him a big round of applause.

And the sound tracks are so good I downloaded it from a friendly site. I am looking for the Twinkle Little Star music sheet in Jerry Yan’s version. I hope I can play it on my piano ( I wish!) =)

Transformer Two

Hubby is such a sweet guy, he already watched the movie (through company sponsored invitation) but he still accompanies me and Aubrey at the Mall of Asia to watch Transformer 2! Now see this movie schedule.

No other movies, just the autobots and the megatrons are there to enjoy!

But what I hated most in watching every mega hit movies is the long line just to buy tickets and the long wait and super long lines before you can enter the movie house. I just wish SM Cinemas would stop doing this. You can’t even stroll around because you have to wait in the line just to have better seats inside. Gosh, why can’t they have a reserved seats process just like in Ayala Cinemas? In free seating movies like that, all your time will be wasted to think you are paying more that the normal movie fees.

These are the long line of people waiting at the entrance last night including us. It will be easier to their customers if they have reserved seating, right? Paging SM Cinemas!

Unfair!

Would you agree with me? I was browsing the net when I saw this suppose to be New Moon book cover featuring Bella and Jacob with my favorite vampire Edward on the back ground.  And it comes with a free poster! How lucky for those first time buyer of the Twilight Saga books. I wish I can have that book cover also.

It’s TGIF again, and I have two more birthday parties to attend.  How can I ever start my diet scheme? Hubby keeps on teasing me that I can’t do it.  I have to prove him wrong! =)

New House

I love to talk about our family home and houses in my previous posts.  While my husband and I want to have our own house for our future family, my mother wants us to reconsider buying the house and lot just near their block.  Though the house looks good and the lot space is wide enough for some expansions, I know I have to check on some areas on the house itself.  It’s been empty for years and I worry that we may spend more fortune renovating the whole house than building a new one.  We want a house that will guarantee our safety and with no worries at all.

I try to browse on some site that may help us with this kind of problem. I read about Baltimore home inspection and they give great deals on choosing the best house for you. They give valuable information and help you though their reports the detailed assessment of the house. They will check both the exterior and interior of the house and they leave no area unchecked by their inspectors.  You can surely save more money and time with baltimoremdhomeinspection.com.  It will help you a lot in making the right choices when it comes to finally buying a new house.

Signal No. 2

Typhoon Peria massive winds raised Signal no. 2 in Metro Manila together with the many provinces.  The Dept. of Education declared a suspension of classes in elementary and high school and I wonder if my company will suspend our remaining hours of work (he-he, asa pa!) because it keeps on raining outside and I have no jacket with me (again!)  Weather is very unpredictable and I thought that it will not be this cold because it wasn’t raining when I went out of the house this morning.

And now, while browsing some local news on the net, this storm kills almost five people, some are missing and brought landslides, flash floods and power interruption  over the central Philippines ( I pray that there will be no power cuts on our area, please!) Carrying massive winds of 83km/hr, typhoon Peria destroyed houses and crops and local flights are cancelled, some vessels are stranded and so are some passengers.

Let’s pray for our safety and the safety of our countrymen especially in the Visayas and Mindanao region.  As I talked to Vince over the phone, he said.. “Rain, rain..go away.”

Easy Shopping

My hubby and I are one proud god parents this month. We are attending baptismal and kid’s birthday every week.  We try to check on shopwiki.com because we keep on wondering on what to give them that will suit their baby needs and what keeps them safe and comfortable.  You can have all these in this site and will surely guide you on the best product available. I always wanted to give educational books for my nephew and nieces because I know it will help develop their literacy skills as they grow up.  I can see how books created a strong bond between parents and children and at the same time having fun experience reading together.

Hubby likes to give comfortable clothes to his god children. In infant clothing, he takes all the considerations in buying nice but safe and with quality clothes.  For toddlers needs, he opted to let them shop with us so we can choose the best size and fit it themselves.  They are learning to dress up and they won’t wear clothes they don’t like.  I know that because my niece wants to choose her own clothes and style and even her own shoes and this shopping guide for little girl clothes will surely help her mom in the future.

Now it will be easier for us to buy gifts for the young ones with these great deals at shopwiki.com.  No hassle and wasted time on moving around the place looking for some items and you can still have time for your own shopping needs.

Yesteday Events

We celebrated 2 occasions. One is father’s day and the other is the baptismal of my colleague’s son. Before lunch, we all meet up at Toho Restaurant somewhere in BF Homes in Paranaque. My dad normally won’t go out anymore except in this very rare occasion. He had a hard time walking that long and he usually experience shortness of breath after that. But since it’s his day, he came with us just to have a simple get together. Hubby took the opportunity to order the menu for all of us and since he is “not so fond” of the foods. I think we just had a fiesta of different viands (lol!) How we miss our only bro working in Qatar.  He should have been there with us.

our father with his angels =)

After lunch, we went to Megamall at St. Francis Church to attend this cute little angel named Gian Andrei. The reception follows at Max’s at Edsa, Shangrila. But since we are still full, we can’t eat that much anymore. Our stomach won’t accept any food in our mouth anymore (ha-ha!) Hubby said how can we start our diet if during weekend all we have is to attend some party in an eat all you can package. Well, next week is his nephew’s first birthday, and with that ,I couldn't answer him. He-he =)

Happy Father's Day!

For my father that loves us unconditionally. A kind and understanding man who sacrificed himself in working abroad just to send his five children in school. I know, he’s not perfect, but who needs perfect? For me, having him as my father makes me smile and remember all the happy times with him. I can never ask for a perfect father, I’m grateful enough that God gave him to us. Papa is a such funny man, he cracks some old funny jokes that make us laugh our hearts out. I know that he loves us so much, not much on words but I can feel it.

Be healthy always, Papa. We love you so much and Happy Fathers Day!

Aja, Aja!!

And also for all the fathers in the world, be happy, this is your day! =)

One Pine night

Pineapple is being sold in Tagaytay for as low as P10 ($0.20) per piece.  When we went there last Saturday, I bought 10 pieces of pineapple. I gave one each to my family and the rest we brought it home.  Last night, hubby told me to make a pineapple preserves because it's one of his favorite bread jam.  I told him I never tried to do it ever.  But he said cooking it is so basic and I thought I should give it a try.  The hard parts in making pineapple preserves are the peeling of pineapple, takings its eyes and grate it to refine.  And yes, I’m patiently doing it step by step while waiting for hubby to arrive from work and for my Asian drama to finish buffering in mysoju.com.

I just don’t like  the continuous stirring for almost 20-25 minutes till it cooked and the syrup thickens.  It's so hot in front of the gas stove making my head ache. But it's done now and the verdict will be on my hubby's hands once he taste my first ever pineapple preserves. A yes or a no? (he-he)

Why You?

If you happen to inform your boss that you had received an invitation to attend a special seminar/training that’s really important in your line of work and all he can reply is “I’m okay with that.  But I guess you have to answer this question, why you?”

For me it implies many obvious reasons but I can’t voice them all out because I might touch some sensitive issues.  You will be caught off guarded of course, questions will race into your mind like, “why not me?” and “What do you want to imply?” or “How will I answer you?”

It was quite a tricky question that needs tricky answers.  Or much better if you will just charge it in your experience.  After all, I received a message that they are on the way to the place where the seminar/training will be held.

I will not need to receive that kind of questions for I can’t promise I will not answer it harshly too. When all you can do is to go straight to your point, whatever it is…right?

Huh! Politics can drive you insane sometimes…really.

Busy Weekend

It's been a busy week for us.  Hubby made the 3-day vacation (Friday is Phil. Independence Day and a holiday) a real holiday treats for us.  And we arrived home last night feeling so tired and sleepy.  The price I have to pay? I’m so sleepy right now and having a bit of a head ache.

We went to Quaipo, mall strolling, watched a horror movie, traveled to Laguna, grocery shopping, Tagaytay again, ate at Leslie’s Restaurant, bought raisins bread at Bag of Beans, fruits galore (big pineapple sold at P10 each), attend his office mate baptismal, proceed to Landmark Makati, stroll around until I finally gave in because I was so tired and sleepy and I want to go home.  Good thing my sister came with us with her ever reliable car and they brought us home right in front of our door step.

Our favorite place to relax, Tagaytay

But it was a very fulfilling week for us.  I was able to do my on budget and save plan and I hope I can carry on till we have enough savings for our future.

Fearless

It's been my living nightmare riding in a ferris wheel. Sounds funny though but I’m really scared riding on it since I was little. No matter how I tried to overcome my fear, I would go shouting on the operator to stop the machine and let me down. My family keeps on laughing that I am such a brave woman and yet only a simple ferris wheel can made me cry like a baby.

I don’t know why but I can’t say that I’m afraid of heights, I can ride a plane without hesitation but on the ferris wheel, I felt my heart and the insides of my stomach will come out of my body especially when the ferris wheel start make its round. Going down is the most difficult. I really can’t take it.

But last night, hubby told me that the balloon wheel in Mall of Asia is not that high and it’s covered and even a small baby can ride on it. He said it’s time to conquer my fear. He bought three tickets for both of us and for my sister. I still have the heart to have my picture taken while waiting and the operator said we can ride each balloon separately, I said “What?!”

But they cheered me on so I said yes (I’m brave, see? Lol!) But when I’m alone there I felt the acids stormed out of my throat when it was moving up, I shout at my sister that It’s quite high and told the operator that he should make it slower. They keep on waving at me and I have to brave myself, keep my eyes open and take a deep breath. Suddenly, I relax and was able to finish the 4 minutes run of the ferris wheel. I feel great. But it doesn’t mean I would try that mountain high ferris wheel on the carnival, no way!
