Half the Price

I wonder why that when we’re about to redeem my voucher at Yoshinoya’s in Mall of Asia they have a written notice beside their counter that they decided not to accommodate the vouchers from cleverbuy.com because of some internal issues. I said to hubby, uh! Uh! This is not good! So we ate at Tokyo Tokyo instead and forget the delicious jumbo platter I purchased in Yoshinoya. Today, I dialed their office number and guess what, the phone is busy. I dialed again… still busy. And I thought, well I think there is something fishy going out with this company.

And then I saw the news in TV that customers who purchased big amount of vouchers in cleverbuy like trips in Boracay, Palawan and also overseas like Hongkong and Cambodia stormed in their office and demanding a refund were all greeted with a closed door. And I said, I was robbed with a P250 ($6) off my PayPal account and it saddens me that it happens to thousands of us who trusted their company. I purchased vouchers from them before and I used that within the validity period so I guess they are some mismanagement on their part. But anyways, lessons learned and I hope they can still make up with their lapses and I can still use the voucher (well, I’m wishing for a miracle) someday.

Dream House

When my sister transferred to her new house last month, she told me she wanted to change the flooring of the house. I told her then she shouldn’t transfer completely if she really wanted to do it because they need to clear up the entire floor so they can work with any hassle. But what she like is a just a cheap flooring that will suit her budget but will not suffer the quality she wanted. I said, I think we need to postpone the whole transfer thing and start checking for some flooring materials with reasonable prices.

And then my hubby recommends that we should check the Build Direct because it offers wide arrays of products with conveniently lower prices that will help my sister to have the flooring she wanted for her new house. I know it will take a lot of time and resources to make her dream house complete so with the way she’s starting with her flooring I know she can achieve her goal in less time. I never saw her so excited like this. She waited to have this moment for a long time and I’m glad that we are sharing the same joy with the whole family.

Sing a long

It’s been so long that I haven’t been in a videoke night out.  My friend’s keeps on planning for our bonding time but our schedules never met and so we just keep on planning, different places, time and occasions.  So when we still have funds left and we decided to enjoy our time together, I immediately booked a reservation in Centerstage and told them, it’s now or never.  We decided to invite Tin and her family and good thing she has to attend the opening of a bar just a floor below our place and they came with her family and friends.

I’ve been in dentist that afternoon and I worried that I might end up just singing the song with them without any microphone.  But my love of singing urges me to try singing even a high note song and I passed the test of courage. Ha-ha! We ordered cocktail drinks and we chomps down pizza, barbeque, cheese sticks and onion rings.  We end the night talking over coffee and planning for the next night out.  It’s fun having your friends around you and having a good time once in a while.  It relieves the stress from your daily routine at the office.

Dream Big

With the rising popularity of the stock markets nowadays, there no way that it can’t reach our office because many of my office mates are into hot technology penny stocks and they are making good in it. I feel happy for them, with sky rocket prices of commodities and basic needs these days, I know that you just can’t rely on your salaries with high income tax deductions each payday. They say this is the time that you dream being big even without having to cash out big amount of money. Just learned the technique and all will went smooth with the help of Timothy Sykes.

I know someday, I will eventually join the bandwagon. I love to learn how to trade stocks and my boss who’s into this long time ago will surely help me to succeed. With the rising expenses and of my baby boy, I think it’s time to plan his future and for his education someday. They said you don’t need much to be able to do this but I will save to make it happen. Good thing hubby supported me and thanks God that I was surrounded by good people who are all willing to share their blessings.

Maki

When I saw this familiar sandwich snack at the office cafeteria, I thought wow, I haven’t made this delicious snack for years and the urged to be able to cook again the Maki sandwich or sometimes called Monte Cristo is great that I told hubby I should shop for its ingredients over the phone, and he said, “it’s nice to hear that, let’s go!”

Well, maybe one thing that stops me from doing it more often is because it’s not that easy to cook. You have to very patient in making this kind of snack and you have to stay longer in front of your stove because it will burn the eggs coat in the sandwich if left out for even a minute. But the results will always be phenomenal because it is delicious and tasty and full that hubby can’t stop praising me about it. He made me cook lumpiang togue that day and I wanted to do my maki sandwich so the results were quite exhausted me.

I told you before that just by looking at their satisfied faces is enough for me. But just like cooking lasagna, cooking Maki sandwich will happen again if I have plenty of time but not in the next few months.

New Gadget

I never used to in buying top of the line cell phones because I believe I have so many things to buy for myself and for my family than invest with just one high priced phone.  A simple one with most of the phone features you will like is enough for me.  My hubby used to ask me before if I wanted the latest cell phone model as a gift but I always answered no.  But when I saw that most of my friends and office mates are all gagging in downloading free android app and having their time of their lives playing the games and busy sharing mobile applications, I told myself I should at least buy my own latest cell phone that is not that expensive.  My ever generous husband happily bought me my new cell phone that can say is way much better than my old one.

They gave me this FreeNew site that can help me with all the software and applications I needed for my cell phone and even for my laptop too! I always heard them talking about it before and I’m so excited I have it now because I can do whatever I want with it.  And I’m glad I changed my mind.

Mom's Special Day

We celebrated Mother’s day at the newly opened Shakey’s restaurant in Paranaque with my hubby’s relatives. We missed my Mom who usually celebrates with us but can’t be with us that day because she need to rest after having a numb feeling on her feet because of high blood pressure.  We just went to their house and celebrate with her a day before their special day.  She looks happy and relaxes by just looking at her grandsons and granddaughters playing around the house.  I asked hubby if we can let Nathan sleep with them once a month aside from a whole day visits every week because I can feel that it is what makes my Mom so happy.

As a mother like them now, I wish I can have their powers to raise my kid just like they raised us before.  I wanted to concentrate more with Nathan when he started to go to school but I hope we have enough savings by then, or I can go on some small time business while attending to my family needs.  I just wish my mother will stay longer with us so she can guide me with Nathan.  I am forever grateful with her for raising five of us without any nanny help or relatives by her side.  I can’t thank her enough and I wish I can give all she wants now.  I'm being sentimental right now :)

The dinner date with my hubby’s mom and relatives were quite fun with Nathan digging more on the mojo potatoes.  We hope we can go out together like this once again before the school year starts.
