Happy 36th!
I have a surprise treat for him this Easter Sunday at Manila Pavillion and he kept on asking me where are we going that day because I told him to reserve that day for just the two of us since my Mom really wanted to get Nathan and stayed in their place for even a just a day. And I take that as one opportunity to spend a day having a late celebration for him.
I can’t thank the Lord enough for giving me my hubby whose very patient and understanding (minus all some minor differences which me maturely settled in a matter of minutes) but above all that, I wish him good health, great job, wonderful years ahead. I love you, honey and may the good Lord bless you more.
♥ Our 7th Year ♥
This is the day that I said “I do” to the man who means the world to me. Who makes me feel I’m the most beautiful woman in the world (though sometimes I thought he’s annoyingly smiling, or maybe I’m not really buying the idea and called his statement absurd. But I love being with my husband, we argued on some things but that made us know more each day.
I will never say that we are a perfect couple. And everybody might agree on that. We do have some ups and downs in our relationship but you will be surprise on how we managed to overcome those problems. As years passed by, I can truly say that our faith and our love for each other made us stronger.
We celebrate by strolling in Makati malls and I bought him the Sketchers shoes he really wants to buy since last month. He’s been giving me all my wishes and I said it’s time to give one thing he loves most. Nathan came with us in Greenbelt and we went to the church. And that night is unreasonably hot and I am afraid that Nathan will feel uncomfortable and we won’t be able to finish the mass. But he’s really a good baby, he just stays in his stroller and I continuously fanned him to made him feel cooler and the children was blessed with holy water before the mass ended.
But going to greenbelt 5 to eat is another thing. He wants solid food and lack of sleep creeps in and he started to cry (though not that loud) and I said to hubby, time to pack up and we just take out the food in Chilis. Good thing we got a taxi cab right away and the moment we step inside the cab, Nathan feel asleep. We can only smile.
I feel so blessed that we will able to thank God for all the blessings. Having a wonderful and understanding man for 7 years are such a blessing any woman can ever asked for. Happy 7th Wedding Anniversary, honey Jhon and I love you forever.
Happy Father's Day!
Its daddy’s day all of the world today and greetings are flooding from various networking sites. When hubby washed and clean baby Nathan’s crib, our house help disassembled the crib without remembering how to assemble it again. So after a mind boggling hours of doing it all over again, hubby finally gave up and Nathan sleeps between us for the first time. When baby Nathan wakes up at 4am, I can see the look on his eyes that he’s wondering why he end up sleeping between his Dad and Mom, but I take that opportunity to let him wake his Daddy up by tapping his face with his small hands and finally Daddy open his eyes and we greeted him Happy Father’s Day!
I asked my Mom to cook something special for Papa since we can’t go there in our old house because of heavy rains. I planned to bring along Nathan in a small dinner treat for hubby but it’s raining hard so we end up going to Mall of Asia with just the two of us. I asked hubby where he wants to eat and he said he wants to eat blue marlin belly and so we dine in at Gerry’s Grill. This is the day when you appreciate how great the world is when you think of all the hard works our Dad's were doing for his family. And this is the day that we look back that after all these hard works they deserve all the glory in life for being a one tough guy.
Happy Father’s Day!
Happy Valentines!
I can’t think much of anything to give hubby except saying I love you and telling him how thankful I am for having him in my life. I can never imagine life without him and now with Nathan in tow. Life is much better with my 2 boys. We had dinner in a full packed Shakeys restaurant near SM Sucat and I slipped my Valentine card for him in his planner and gave him the sweetest mini fancy donuts from Country Style because I couldn’t think of anything else to buy. Ha-ha!
But I’ll make it up to him on his birthday this April. I promise. Happy Valentines, my sweet haney! :)
Choco Truffles
I want to keep in mind that I really gained a lot over the holidays and I need to focus on my diet. But how can you resist it when your husband kept on giving you these mouth watering chocolates?
Good News
Hubby spilled the good news when he asked me to call him. He said he accepted the job offer of a foreign company somewhere in Alabang, Muntinlupa. In his new job, he can now use all the knowledge he learns from his previous job and I believe he can excel because that is what he really wants.
Thank God for giving this to hubby. This is such a blessing to our family considering some rough times last year. He sounds so happy on the phone and I can only feel so proud. I just hope that everything will be okay and good as he begins his journey on February 1. I know he can do it and he has all our full support on his new endeavor. Congrats honey and goodluck!!! :)
Food Trip - Corn and Squid
My mom and my mother in law went to Quiapo yesterday to accompany our house help to buy her clothes. My sister and my niece Karen was in charged of Nathan in the house. They bought pansit from our favorite Chinese restaurant and a lot of fresh Japanese corn.
I asked hubby if we can grill some of the corn and the dried squid my sister bought when she visited Masbate province. I put the corn and the squid on the available barbeque sticks left in my baking cabinet. Hubbys take care of the coal and I know his favorite is grilled squid and the corn is mouth watering. That is the first time we ever did that and it’s fun. Hope we can do that again.
Happy Years Together
Happy 6th Wedding Anniversary Haney Jhon!
Thank you for all the best years we had together, for being such a wonderful and very understanding husband and for believing in us. I can only wish good health and more blessings. I thank God for having you in my life and for giving me a lifetime partner and I’m so proud of having you beside me. More happy years ahead, my dearest hubby! I love you forever.
At Home
While hubby is taking his well deserved rest at home, I always had this urge to take a leave of absence everyday so I can spent the day and rest with him. I’ve been longing for that moment for so long but I can’t do that, I already used most of my vacation leave and I need to control it because we have some out of town plans for our wedding anniversary this October 16.
And good thing he’s at home right now, he can concentrate on doing some man jobs like looking for someone who can clean our aircon which I think needs a major clean up because it didn’t give much of the cool my hubby wants every night. He kept on complaining on that before but now he has all the time in the world for that.
He also finds some time to clean his storage cabinet from all his electronic stash and he even upgraded our desktop PC/TV and good thing I can now watch freely on my favorite channels without going down in the living room. We are both busy watching Merlin series and was about to finish the musical/comedy series Glee. I love being at home :)
Cross Roads
I'm quite sad and I know hubby too, that his 11 years in that company will come to an end. And that he needs to go because you can never work in a place where everyone's game is backstabbing. But this was all be charge in his experience. And that he will learned from it. Believing that not all those who smiles and sit besides you is your friend. You can never tell. This is one of the biggest challenge in life that my hubby will face. But he need not to worry, i will always be there for him.
And when he start all over again. Who knows? It can be a start of something new and bigger than he expected. God is always watching, He knows.
Net book
This is my first entry post using my brand new laptop. Yes, hubby bought me a Toshiba Net book 305 yesterday and I never knew that he'll give me my gift wish from him since my birthday is still 3 months away. I just kept silent while he's checking on some other brands but deep inside I'm starting to scream. Is he really going to buy it? Am I having that laptop tonight? Ha-ha!
And I'm ecstatic when he finally agreed to the price and he let me choose the laptop color between red, blue and brown. I choose red because it looks classy and chic :) No words can describe the feeling, I can only thank him for giving me my special wish.
All the times that I gave him some expensive gifts he would always return it with a triple price tag. He never forgets. And that is only one from the many good traits of my hubby. I am proud and I'm so blessed for having such a wonderful man as my better half. Did I tell you that there are reasons to be happy? Well, I am surprised too, but this is one surprise that I am really grateful =)
Business Trips
They are given just few hours to shop for some foods and delicacies to bring home. And I’m glad that he was able to buy my favorite sylvannas and meaty chicharon. My family really loves it.
Tomorrow, he and his colleagues will be leaving to Cebu City up to Friday for another business trip with their new boss. But this time I already bought multi vitamins capsules, for some extra energy. He’s so stressed and pressured and it will mean a lot to his health.
And I will be alone in the room again with our dog beside me tomorrow night (ha-ha!)
Five Years
October 16, 2004 marked the many changes in my life. We got married and the feeling was wonderful. Despite of many difficulties on his side (relative wise) it was a perfect wedding for me. Perfect because I know that we can be together forever at last. I guess every woman dreamed of that.
Not anybody knows that when I was still in college and I passed everyday in Malate Catholic church on my way home, I had grown this fondness at the place. I told my friends that someday, I want to get married on this church and I did. Hubby never suggested any other church when I told him about that. He simply said that the place is wonderful and beautiful and he surprised his mom when they went to hear a mass at the church and then he looked for the church office after and made a reservation.
Now it’s been five years since we had that vow of loving each other for life. There are so many up and downs in our relationship, not mainly about each other but we always made it through it. Our first year was a big adjustment especially for me. I was so independent and carefree and I want things my way but after so many realizations, I found out that I have to give that out and let my husband lead the way. Now, when we argue on some things, after few minutes where laughing it out loud and ended it with a huge smile and a big hug.
I love the way he supported me with my dreams and plans. He never told me to do this or do that but instead he let me grow up and have my own moments. I guess loving this amazing man is the most wonderful thing in this world. I often asked him especially when were about to sleep if he loves me, and he would automatically said, “super!” I don’t know why I am doing that when I knew the answer but it made me feel more secure. I wanted to end my night listening to his I love you’s =) I am so very happy that I married such a wonderful man.
And when I took a break and went down for just a few minutes, I came back to finish this one but I saw a white envelope with a card inside. Hubby never forgets to greet me in a traditional way.
I got to let you know some of his message. Here goes:
“Guess what? It’s our 5th year anniversary! …..At times I almost would want to turn around and just quit… But each time I do, you’re right there honey, telling me to go on and fight back. Thank you for the love.....I really am happy, in fact, very happy and don’t forget, I love you very much!!!”
I was so touched that I can really feel on his emotions. He can be tough outside but you can always see the soft in him. In a very gentle ways. I guess few people who are really close to him can only know that. Your right honey, I will always be there for you and you know how much I love you =)
Happy Anniversary, Haney Jhon!
I love it!
My long awaited
When hubby forwarded me an email from their company informing their employees that they decided to give them their 13th month, I thought that was way too early! But then, it justified the reasons that it can be a big help for those who suffers from Ondoy floods. And then an idea entered his mind. We went to SM Appliances store and bought me one thing he knows I wanted most, an oven. I know I sometimes I think impulsively, especially in buying things because it is really expensive. But my husband will just remember what it is and he never promises, but one day when he had a chance he’ll going to go for it. It is one of the many positive traits of my dearest hubby. He said it’s his anniversary gift for me. And that I should learn the cookers manual. Bake lot of goodies and cakes and pastries for him.
But I know he’s so happy seeing me happy. And I'm so thankful that I have him and his love made me stronger. Sometimes felt so sad deep inside though I am trying my best to chase all the blues away. You know what we are longing for and we really wanted most, but we never stop praying and believing. And I guess that’s one thing that keeps us going (emote...emote...)
But for now, here’s my newest baby! Black and shiny! Now I can continue my baking dreams =)
Old Memories
It’s been a rainy September this year. And were almost in the middle of the month and next month, October, is our wedding month. A while ago, when im cleaning one of our drawers to throw away some of the unused or broken headsets, chargers and wires, I opened one of the small boxes which contain mostly of receipts, food recipe cut outs and papers. I found one thing that I never thought I still have with me. It’s the receipt of the dinner we had in Waterfront Cebu City Hotel during our first wedding anniversary. We went there for 5 days and we enjoyed places and every minute that we spent together. Time really flies and now we are about to celebrate our fifth year together. We still don’t have plans but I wish we could go somewhere out of town just like before. But i hope the rains will stop.
I still cant think of any gifts that he might like. Men things are really common but expensive. I still have a month to do that. Might as well ask for some suggestions =)
Rain, rain, Go away
It’s been raining almost everyday, and the typhoon keeps on coming back. I wonder if there are times that I ever spent my birthday in a sun shiny day. I was so bored that I can’t even go out or too lazy to run some errands so I just took a photo of the rain from our room. But rain gives you this comfort to just snuggle in your bed and sleep a little more =)
Tomorrow is my big day but we will go to Makati Medical Center to check on hubby’s right knee (he was eager to join their basketball game so he wants to heal it fast!). And since check-ups, x-rays and lab tests are part of their health benefits, might as well enjoy the privilege. But I hope everything will be okay.
Holiday and Rain
It’s been raining cats and dogs when we reached Baclaran Church this morning, we attended the first Wednesday novena mass and at the end they played “Bayan Ko” where everybody sings because we know that it was for the late ex-President Cory Aquino who is being laid to rest today at Manila Memorial in Paranaque. It was good thing that we have no work today, we will not be able to go to our office anyway. The whole side of the streets and highways are full of people waiting for the convoy from Manila Cathedral and there’s no way we can reached the office except by foot (in which I wouldn’t try or dare).
We are soaked and wet all over when we reached Mall of Asia after the mass and we went straight to the clothes section of the department store to buy new clothes so we could change. We keep laughing and greeted happy birthday to each other after we left the rest room. That is out of our plan but we just can’t go around the mall like that =)
Hubby injured his right knee during their basketball match last night. He keeps on complaining that it really hurts but early this morning, he insisted to go with me and eventually lured me going at the mall. We did the grocery and had lunch in Rack’s restaurant. I called Aling Baby, our resident home service "hilot" to check on his knee and now, he keeps on saying “ouch” and eventually bite a towel to refrain from saying any word! Ha-ha!
Here's how Manang squeezed my hubby's injured knee! It must be really painful. But i hope hubby's knee can recover soon. Basketball is one step of being body fit again =)
Silver Linings
Hubby came home last night looking grumpy and when I asked what’s wrong with the face, he only said that he’s hungry. But I knew him, there must be a reason. So after we ate dinner, I made some coffee for both of us and told him to come to our room. He sat on the sofa and I settled on our bed.
I knew it, he was torn on some important decisions on his career. We talked about it and advised him on what to do and what to expect. Most of all, I gave him all the courage I have with me so he can continue to work for the common good (sounds like Dumbledore in Harry Potter, hehe). I know being in the corporate world is one hell of a tough job, it will never be easy. And when he seems discourage with the way things are going in there, I gave him hope and will to work as hard as he did before. When there will come a time that all was done and was left with no choice, then it’s time to change the course of his path.
I told him not to let the problems get in his way. He show the most amazing leadership and his people respect him for that. We can’t please everybody and not all can understand you fully well. When all the people around seems to disappoint you and realized you are caught in the middle of the two opposite minds, just think of how your perseverance helped you to get there. There will always be a silver linings guiding you through.
