October Get Together

After many months of planning and collaboration with other groups, the much awaited get together party with the sweetest and lovely trio of Jai, Alec and Joj was held last Sunday.  Thank God that their schedules weren’t on our GTG schedule and all is well that afternoon.  I was so stressed out but it’s all worth it.  I can see the smile and laughter and they were jiving in with the crowd.  Their family was so supportive and even join the games.  I couldn’t ask for more with the group I have today.  They’re the best, despite of the fact that some of them are miles away from us, you can feel with the way they supported us that they are just beside us, tapping our shoulders and telling us we can do this.  And we did and I’m so grateful for our group.  Different folks and strokes and different point of views but we are one.

We end our happy night having a videoke sing a-long near the twins place.  And we went home all tired but happy.

Raffle Prizes

One thing I really like in attending parties is the raffle draws and game prizes. I love to bring the kid out of me and I participated in all the games I can join. Well, it’s fun to be like a child sometimes, no stress, no pressure, no inhibitions, and no reservations just being happy all the times. So during the party in Tin get together last week, I never knew I would be getting a box set of beauty products from a raffle draw, I’m thinking lady luck is nowhere when the cell phones and Starbucks gift certificates are being given away one by one, but just when I thought that I will be going home empty handed, Tin called my name and there it is, one of the few raffle prizes left.

Patience is really a virtue. But above all that, I can see that everyone went home after the party with the smile on their faces. It’s all worth it.

Party!

After of almost 1 month of preparations, we finally had our first get together party for Tin.  And all the hard works, patience and team work paid off because the results are awesome.  We had a blast that night and everybody is happy with all the raffle draw prizes and give away like button pins and Tin’s personalize mugs.

I gave the credits to the admins of the group because despite of some brouhaha they still managed to have a party that Tin and her family really enjoyed.  I was so tired after the get together but was so happy knowing I shared it with them.  I’m not an old timer in that group but they asked for my help for my party contacts and catering and they are so thankful I helped them in that aspect.  I already told a friend that I can’t support that much because Nathan needs my full attention every weekend, but they said all I have to do is help them with their plans.  I’m so glad I met them, I have a new set of friends because of Tin.

Office Night Out

To make it different this year, most of us decided to celebrate our Christmas party outside from our traditional lunch-snack feast at the office every year. Though I know it will be more costly to do that but it’s totally different now, the ambiance, the camaraderie, trust issues, and it’s never been the same before, people had a change of heart and we tend to group ourselves away from your team and it saddens me that only one person can help us to stay all together don’t do anything about it or don’t bother at all. I lost the interest of asking them if there will be any celebration but our courier’s boss step up and told me to go on with the usual plan. I’m glad that most of us were there in the venue at Shakeys, though some were late because of work but at least they came and I saw the happiness and hesitation on some faces but all well ends well. I genuinely had fun with the team. It felt good just by looking at them having a great time, too. I bought some useful things for the raffle draw this Thursday after our yearly exchange gift. I got my Starbucks planner and I got a free coffee from my seat mate, Mike. Another good night to remember :)

Chic and Sexy

A chic party is fine but sexy? Well, I have doubts about that. But it’s all in the mind. Actually, I feel sexy though my body says otherwise (ha-ha!). So when our company announced that we will have a chic and sexy party, I can only sigh that I will have to dress up casually in that occasion. I still have problems on my diet and my hubby is not that cooperating because he really loves to eat. I have new colleagues this year and as usual, we have a blast thought it’s a company event. One thing I am so proud of with our team is that we stick together in every event in our company and all is cooperating.

Though we have a popular restaurant as a caterer, they served foods that off in my taste so they don’t deserved a second serving, well that help with my diet. I also received a 5 year loyalty award plus a cash reward and most of us in our team received that award so we can be happier being in the stage though we are 102 recipients that night. We were not that lucky in the raffle draws and only one won the price of dinner for two in Sofitel Hotel which I asked him to sell the voucher to me. After the announcement of major raffle prize, I decided I should go home and I’m lucky that hubby was awake that time and he agreed to pick me up because I have my SLR camera to me and I don’t want to go home alone. I bid goodbye to my colleagues who’s starting to dance with the live band performing on the stage.

First Party

It was the 7th birthday party of a colleague’s daughter that baby Nathan attended last May 28. He’s very first birthday party, and he’s really looking good in his cowboy outfit. The party was at The Creamery in Mall of Asia and I’m having a second thought before that because it’s raining and I’m thinking baby Nathan might get sick. But we went there 3 hours before the party time so we have time to buy gift for Denise.

The foods were great and the games were educational, the first I have seen from the hundreds of children party I attended. But the most of all, baby Nathan is learning to experience many things around him. And we think that he’s really enjoying his time at the mall.

All for One

Ann was late on her get together party that was held in Max’s Restaurant last Saturday because she has a go-see for a TV commercial that day. We went on with the program and Jenny Kim, her friend in the Pinoy Big Brother house graced the show and she was very candid and fun to be with.

I’m assigned in the registration area and I brought along Reine with me so she can help me bring those large plastics and boxes of cupcakes I needed in the party.  I was surprised that many came to the event and Ann is well loved by her supporters.  When Ann came with her pretty bunny outfit, everybody was ecstatic.  She knows how to make her fans happy and she made funny faces with Jenny.  The trivia questions games was quite a revelations to many.  I can see that everybody was excited with lots of foods, games and give away in store for them that day. I'm telling you, the attendees age ranges from 11years old to 40years old from all walks of life.

It’s so hard to organize an event like this where there are lots of pressures and last minute decisions but seeing how Ann cooperate with us and in making this day a memorable one, I can set aside my tired feelings and cant help but smile and enjoyed the rest of the night hanging out with them.

Pool Party!

After the get together event of Paul Jake and Cathy, I went straight to Pansol, Laguna for the yearly department outing of hubby. I was used to joined them every year and I also helped them cooked the food. I thought I can never make it this year because I had an event to attend that day but since the start of the pool party is in the evening, I brave myself to ride a bus (after a long long time) and went to a place with hubby as my guide.

But bad things happened, my cell phone battery is not doing well these days and I had no chance to charge it when I came home to get my things and my worst fear came true. It went off before I can text hubby that I already entered Calamba area. So I had to do something and that is to get off from the bus and look for some kind-hearted people in the store and beg them to at least let me charge my cell phone even for just 5 minutes, I know that hubby is worried that I’m not replying to his messages and my phone is unattended. I was so lucky that the old lady trusted me and charges my phone for 10 minutes! I was able to call my hubby and ride a jeep going to the place he mentioned.

Just like before, I had a great time with his office mates, I bonded with them well and joined in their tequila time in the pool and sing my heart out in the videoke. I went to sleep at 5am while hubby was still having a heart to heart talk with the other groups. Though there are many people who just can’t be happy even when most of their peers are, the outing was successful as ever. Till next year
:)

Life begins at 40

Today is my Ate Lhen's 40th birthday. Yes, i know she's so proud that she reached the age of 40 being healthy, jolly, cheerful and most of all - the kindest ate i know. We gave her a party last Saturday and we fulfilled her childhood dreams - of having a children party she once dreamed off (haha!) And so, me and my youngest sister planned for this, with the cake, balloons, tables and chairs, banners and lots of food. And she was really surprised! We can see the big smile she had on her face when she saw the set-ups in the garden and i'm so happy for her.

Giving all the credit for the love, support, being the eldest in our family, Ate Lhen was the one who really helped me to get through the college finances. She's one of the kind. We had a lot of arguments and been through rough times but at the end of it all, blood is really thicker than water.

I just want to wish her good health and happiness. As she said - life begins at 40, she can be sure i will support her all though out. Happy Birthday Ate Lhen! and you know that I and jhon loves you.

Company's Christmas Party

Last Friday, Dec. 12 spells fun for us here in the office. It's our Company's Christmas party! The HR dept. announced an early knock-off at 3:30pm for all of us to have more time to prepare and travel to SMX convention center in Mall of Asia. It's my first time there. The whole function room was huge and we had a holy mass before the party. The food was great (thank goodness!) and we really had fun (at least with our happy team rogether).

So here's the pictures of the event. Though our team never get any single price drawn from the raffle (what a fate!) i guessed that everyone's happy watching all the performers doing their best for the P20k top price.
our happy team! getting ready for the side dance =)

muching our way to the yummy desserts

the food, though i like the baked siti more....

before the real party start, happy faces!

A sound day

Not all of you know that my birthday was last Thursday, August 7. I just want to thank all of my friends and family who never forget my special day and greeted me. Thank you guys, I'm so happy you remembered.

My hubby asked me what was my plan. I was so touched when he emailed me that If i have something to do or wish on my birthday just let him know ( and never mind the expenses) coz we know that we're really tight in budget because of the recent hospitalization of Tatay. But really, i can't think of anything else to do or to have. God knew what is my wish and in time He'll gonna give it to us.

But hubby will never gave up... he gave me a new bag.. surprise me that afternoon with a cake, lechon and pansit (coz i said since its my day, i don't want to cook) and we went to MOA to stroll and watch Mummy 3.

Though my family were'nt able to come that day... my mom and ate came to greet me. That really made my day. And oh, i forgot, my father in law was discharged to the hospital that afternoon. So, everybody's happy.
my birthday cake =) im the honey and hubby's my haney...

Mickey's Birthday bash

I had a second thought in going to Mickey's Party last Sunday, June 1...The party was held at Jade Valley Cantonese Restaurant in QC and was quite far from my place. But since i really wanted to see him and the last time i saw him was when he held a Christmas party last year and because i also wanted to see his mom, Tita Perla, i gave in.

It was a big party.. far from what i expected that it will be just a group dinner. The whole Ruby function room were full of his visitors, family, friends and supporters. That's when i saw him waiting at the front door with GeeAnn (she's really cute in person).

We are so happy that most of us from different group still recognized each other. I know that most of us are all working and married too but we are there, having our good time with the birthday boy.

So here's some picture i took at the party.

With the geemickers group and the Mickeeperz

roaming around the area =) pose at Mickey's cake.. Tita Perla gave me a huge portion of it before we went home. Thanks Tita! so yummy!

Thanks again Mickey for inviting us.. Till your next birthday! =)
