Last Day

Wow, can't believe that tomorrow is already August! and finally the 'ber' months and then Christmas time! =)

It's been raining hard these days. I remember that I usually had my birthdays in a rainy celebrations. Now, I'm quite sure it will still be a rainy B-day.

I heard a sad news from my sister, our closest neighbor (just beside our house)in our Pasay home passed away last night. It was due to heart attack and he's DOA in the hospital. I've heard that he was sick before I got married and his heart has a hole but her parents can't afford for an operation so they just let it be. And now, maybe its his time now.. he's only 24 yrs old. I'll go there this weekend to pay some respect, may he rest in peace.

And another sad news..(come on, my birthday is approaching!) when my father in law went to the hospital for his routine check-up, his doctor said (upon looking at his lab results) told them that his hemoglobin drops down from a normal 12 to 8 so he needs to be admitted for a blood transfusion (2 bags) and the blood cross matching is worth 16k! huwaaah!! suddenly, I've seen by hubby sad again.. his father looks good now than before, you will never know that there's something in his blood level again...and now,he will be admitted for the 3rd times in a span of 3 months.

Oh well.....

Thanks Milet, I now know how to deal with such people... keep on blaming somebody else for their mess. I snug to blog to keep me sane and forget about them. Plus its your fault you taught me how to blog (hahaha!) My music and my blog keeps me going in this politically maneuvered office life. Counting the days

Last night, while I'm playing warcraft, hubby asked me if I already installed my samsung phone installer in our desktop pc. I told him not yet. And he said i should, so he can get all my pictures in my cp which i 'dramatically' shoots while resting in our bed plus the different cute boarders i placed in it.

And then it came to me that maybe the reasons why he need my pictures is that he will do something in time for my birthday next week! aha! I told him...'ikaw ha, me balak ka ha!' and then he laughed hard and deny it of course.

Since he's so persistent on what gift he will give me, i asked for a guess wallet provided that i will be the one to choose. The last time he bought me one, I didn't like the color and it was too big for my sling bags. But i used it anyway. I treasured all his gifts to me.

So, my family is asking me where do i celebrate my birthday. I don't know. I just want to take a rest from work and be with my hubby ( if he can take a leave from work by then).

Kids Fun

It's good to see kids playing around and doing their own stuffs and minding their own world. I was reminded of my good old days when 5 of us used to played hide and seek, tumbang preso, chinese garter and getting fresh fruits from my father's garden. Now... you'll see kids at the mall, in a place like Timezone.. so very high tech.

Reine, Vince and Mico tried the rope in Glorietta Activity Center and looking at them, I'm afraid the rope might split coz the boys are heavy and also Reine. And they never mind sweating around ....after playing, they asked me to buy them a french fries. Hmmm... yaya na, financier pa! =)

A Month Old Baby

Last month, hubby's cousin talked to him about staying at our home once their new baby boy left the hospital. As hubby told him that he also need to asked my permission and I said to go on since their house is under renovation and all the dust and dirt is such a danger to a newborns health. Harvy is the name of this cute little guy, who is big on his age and quite a stunner when he grows old as i predicted. He seldom cries and nobody can notice that's theres a baby inside unless his mom carried him out for his early morning sunshine bathe. And it's good to have a baby in the house, I used to shopped small and cute items for him, It really feels good watching him on his various facial expressions.

In celebration of his one month old baby, his dad asked us to buy something to eat yesterday... i cooked spaghetti and lumpiang shanghai and i invited my family to come over. I told them to go to our house after lunch and I suddenly freaked out when they are all there at 12noon and haven't eaten their lunch! Good thing i cooked enough viand but they have to squeeze in for the rice.. hehehe...

Early this morning, Harvy and his parents left home. Their house is okey now and as i bid him goodbye, I told him that he should visit us every time so he will recognize us as he grows.

Must be Friday

Hmm... I'm suppose to be excited since its TGIF today but I'm half hearted about it now. First, I leave our house wearing my new black sandals I bought as sale in SM Makati last week, and since its slightly raining that time, I didn't notice the slippery gutter on the street when I'm about to cross going to the bus stop and all my confidence level went to drained when I slipped left hip side first! splat!!! arrrggg! and I still find the courage to hold on to the lady beside me so I don't fell hard on the wet ground.... the others helped me to get up and to avoid further humiliation, they said it's really slippery on that side. Kahit na! huhuhu... My side pants are all wet and thank goodness, I also I carry my bag with me to cover the wet side.

Grrr... now, getting all the work loads infront of me plus some annoying colleagues from the other company really making my Friday. And I can feel the muscle pain that slowly growing... my hubby will surely laugh hard when I tell him about it. Hehehe... But I should carry on... life is always like that.

Happy weekend friends! =)

Not Just a Yellow Thingy

My mother, my eldest sister, Vince and Reine came all the way from
Laguna, and me, hubby and Mico came from Paranaque when we met at Glorietta in Makati. When my sister text me that they were in the activity area, we are all surprised to see that almost all of us are wearing yellow! And so i snapped them with a souvenir shot of a what-a-coincidence yellow dress, including me!

Well, it's not really the yellow shirts of course, but I'm happy that we still find each other time to bond and hopped in the mall.

Past Happenings

As expected, I'm down with trucks of loads after my leave of absence yesterday. Our pldtweroam was having problem with the signals at home and the result? I can't blog.

So what happened to me last weekend?

Saturday

1. My family visited me at home. They stopped by at lunch and I had a time to bond on my pamangkins though they spent so much time at our room playing warcraft.
2. We went to MOA that afternoon and my hubby (I called him a certified shopaholic now) decided to bought a comforter set since it's clearance sale at almost all SM branches.
3. We ate at Mann Hann, one of our favorite restaurant in MOA, i ordered spicy spareribs, yang chow rice and ube cheese cake.
4. At last, after strolling around... It's time to watch Batman, since the showing time we choose was 8:50pm-11:50pm, we have no choice but to get our things in the baggage counter since malling hours is only till 10pm. And we carry the comforter inside the cinema =) eiww!

Sunday

We stayed at home. Its searing hot in our room, almost unbearable. The weather these days are really unpredictable. But i still managed to sleep that afternoon when I cool down after I take a bath. When i wake up, hubby told me we stroll at SM Sucat, see, he is really restless staying home. I took the opportunity to buy lots of small sale items for our kitchen, ref cover, small hot and cold thermos, kitchen knife, ref holder, bowls and some glasses.

Well, I'm happy we bonded almost every weekend now. But another out of the line expenses.

Batman

My hubby text me that he is so tired from their audit and their continuous meeting. And at the end of his text, he wanted to stress-out and he wanted to watch Batman -the dark night. Of course, I also want to watch that movie, its the last movie done by my favorite hollywood actor, Heath Ledger who portrays as Joker. And based on the reviews, is his most effective role ever. So sad that he cannot hear those praises now.

But when i search for a better showing time at click the city. The entire movie duration is three hours!!! Of course, we can only watch at almost, the last full show and we can go home at almost past 12mn. So i text him back that if he want we will still go to Mall of Asia, eat dinner, stroll around and we can watch Batman on Saturday.

On watching Cinderella

I already posted my thoughts in watching Lea Salonga's portrayal of Cinderella on her latest stage play which will start this July 29. I really wanted to watch it, and i voiced my sentiments to my hubby who asked me how much is the ticket. I scout the the ticketnet.com and found out that P1000 is the lowest ticket price which means you'll be in the far end of the stage.

My hubby asked me last night if I still want to watch the show in CCP Complex on my birthday this coming August. I wanted to say 'YES!' but I hesitated coz I know he will immediately buy the tickets without telling me. And God knows how much the ticket cost will be. One thing I'm sure, he will never sit on the top seat.

The ticket price is really pricey. We can buys lots of thing from that aside from the fact that we are in a tight budget now that Tatay is sick again. But i wish someone will sponsor the tickets for us (hehe) That will be the best birthday gift for me =) I wish.....

Moment of Truth

All of us in our house are more stressful than ever. My father in-law is sick again and he's really losing hope that he can ever recover again. His health is slowly deteriorating and it pains to see that he suffers a lot due to his arthritis despite of taking his complete medicines. I can see how he wants to move but the more he inch his way from every side the more he cried from pain.

The last weekend I anticipated to relax and to have fun never happens. We stay all day at home to take care of Tatay and while my hubby stay mostly on his side, I do my part in the kitchen. It's the least I can do for I can't help in assisting Tatay in lying down and then getting up to sit, all that for 24 hrs. Everyone works in shifts now that Tatay can barely sleep and eat even the doctors prescribed some sleeping pills to aid him.

When I talked to hubby last night, I told him to be strong for what may happen. His father are now talking in riddles and he's mind seems out of the scene. Hubby let Nanay sleep for a few hours and I was awaken to see that hubby sleeping on far side of the bed. He must be really tired that he barely make it on our bed to rest.

I hope and pray to God. Anything has its purpose.

Wrap Up

Hayzz.. glad to know that its Friday again... I've been moody the whole week and its because of the weather and some unavoidable things that happened. We are both have colds and he's sad that he can't sing on the videoke. So for sure we will end up in the mall again.

But one thing I know, I need to relax and I'm going to Spa for a body massage tonight or tomorrow. And we will watch Mama Mia the movie, I've been waiting for this movie for weeks and now, i can finally see it. Me and hubby both love musicals and based from the trailer, It is sure a great movie to watch. aha! my weekend must be fun... enjoy....relax....happy!

My sister asked me to tutor my niece Aubrey in Math this weekend also...(ngeee! as if I'm really that good in mathematics!) well, hubby excels in that field, and that will be his forte, so i think I will just ask hubby to do us a favor.

I'll try to cook something different for lunch tomorrow. Beef stew? hmmm....

Silver Linings

My hubby and I had a misunderstandings, and as most of us feel, It's not easy lying there in your bed without clearing things up. And so we talk and we made up... we compromise and we settled some things and I made him promise... to change his sim card.. hahaha!!! girls, you better know what I mean... =)

And so, to top it all, we're okey now... And I want to share this one favorite song of mine, its about challenges, love, respect, unconditional love.

LOVE ALWAYS FINDS WAY
Peabo Bryson

We've said it all
A thousand times before
Been to the wall
And always found somewhere to turn
There was always more to learn
We've reached the end
And almost closed the door
And someone within
I never can remember who
All I know is that we've found
The strength to make it through

Love always finds a way
When the clouds have no silver lining
She comes thru shining
Love always sees the light
Through the darkest night
In a small way
Love always finds a way

Holding you near
After the storm has passed
It becomes clear
When all our tears have finally dried
That no matter how we fools
May try to turn the tide

And in this moments when the magic seems to fade
We must remember then that's the time to keep on
Believing and I'll be a friend

If we both trust
In what we really feel
The two of us
Can hold tomorrow in our hands
All it takes is just the faith to truly understand that...

Love always finds a way
When the clouds have no silver lining
She comes thru shining
Love always sees the light
Through the darkest night
In a small way
Love always finds a way

The Art Of Letting Go...

I bumped in a friend who experiencing troubles in marriage. She's really in dilemma and I can't help but to pity her. I am wondering now, how can you really love without trust? Can a couple survive the storm without it? When I saw her cry, my heart went cry with her. I can never find words to comfort her. I know words can't describe how she felt that time and I want to help her ease the pain. She wanted to let go but she didn't know where to start. I thought, she might really love her husband but things can't go on their way. I pray that God help her to decide on what she should really do..

So, i know this new song of Amanda Wilkinson will says it all.. Really heartbreaking...

The Art Of Letting Go...
Amanda Wilkinson

This is all brand new, I don't like this place
The sun can't seem to chase these clouds away
I miss the way it was, I can't believe it's changed
Is there nothing I can do, to make you stay?
Please stay

If you will, will hold on tight
Face to face, we'll win this fight
If you leave, baby, leave real slow
Till I master the art of letting go

How long does it take, how long will it last
Till it feels like my whole world's not torn in half?
If you remember what we were, remember what we had
It won't be that hard to get it back, come back

If you will, will hold on tight
Face to face, we'll win this fight
If you leave, baby, leave real slow
Till I master the art of letting go

If you leave, baby, leave real slow
Till I master the art of letting go
Of letting go

Osteoporosis: The silent epidemic

just want to share this article since my eldest sis asked me yesterday to buy Caltrate plus for her. Very timing that I've read this one.

HEALTH WATCH

Osteoporosis is considered as the silent epidemic because it is detected late. There are 75 million people affected by the disease in the United States, Europe, and Japan. One in every three women is affected and one in five men will suffer from osteoporosis.

In women, the risk is larger than the sum of risks of having breast, endometrial, and ovarian cancer while in men, it is greater than the risk of having prostate cancer.. In 2050, there will be a major outbreak of osteoporosis worldwide, experts say. read more >>>>

Some Family Time

I'm going to Laguna tonight. I need to prepare for the outing my hubby sets with his team. Their so called relaxation time and a time off from office with their respective families. I must admit, i sometimes felt strange on how demanding my hubby's work to the extend that I sometimes asked him what he is really doing. During their family day in Subic year ago, I've got a chance to talked to some of the wives and we had one thing to clamor to our hubby's. Their family time.

Now I know how to handle that pressure. I advise him to work on his time management so he can have both worlds. And I can see that it works, he's time is flexible but he sees to it now that he went to work early so he can go home early at night too. And he still have time to relax and we can still watched movies during weekdays.

They will be bringing with them their children. That must be fun. Vince will surely be happy that he will have playmates again.

Happy weekend to all!

Wanders

photos courtesy of PAGCOR website

My hubby reminded me before i left home yesterday that one of his officemates has a complimentary tickets to the show of Wanders. I got excited that at last I can watch it now for free. We live just near the Casino Filipino in Paranaque but the problem is I am working in Libis. But he said the show will start at 8pm and i can still catch up. But heaven is testing my patience, the 'reliable' citylink bus got stuck in the traffic jam in C5 road and its almost 7pm! I convinced my officemates to just take a chance to the shuttle service and once there, the driver told us that he will pass by along Ortigas and Megamall. Hmmmm... i decided to just take the MRT ride going to Taft station. And the rest is history. I made it at 8:15pm and the show was about to start when we entered the hall.

What i love most in their show are the contortionist... these ladies are spectacular that they can replace 'lastikman' for being soooooo flexible.

I saw familiar and popular faces in the crowd. They said that Filipino artists such as Nonie Buencamino, Calvin Millado, and Frenchie Dy are there to grace the show of Wanders. The backup singers really sings good, it might be them.

Also, they said that Hotlegs, Whiplash and Manoeuvers, are the one grooving in the stage. Wow, I'm really proud of the filipino talents. The show is great!

The Chinese acrobats are also good, though they made some mistakes in the loop hole exhibition. It really happens.. nevertheless, they are superb.

I also like their Elvis Presley medley... but I'm torn between focusing my eyes on the stage and watching the real Elvis on their big screen.. hehehe...

We really had a great night. We walked our way to Danny's Grill near the Casino and had our late dinner before we headed home. My hubby said we can bring the children next time.. That will be good!

A New Route Home

Going to office in Libis is much more easier that heading home from Libis. I spent almost 2 hours going home and it doesn't feel good at all. I'm dead tired and I can't do much anymore.

I've heard of one service bus that travels from Libis to NAIA 3 in Villamor, Pasay. I never tried the CityLink buses since their terminal is quite far from our office location. But I'm dreading each day that I have to endure the traffic and it making me so sick. So, me and my other 2 office mates decided to give it a try yesterday. We waited in the shed for 15 minutes for the bus to arrive, though its nearing dark, the hot humid in the air made us irritated and impatient. Soon the bus came and we get up and found out that the bus is new and comfy. The fare is the same with the shuttle service i rode in everyday...P35.00.

Their route is within C5 passing through Market-Market! in Fort Bonifacio
And yes, its bearable with just one comment, the driver wants to pick up anybody on its way and that adds to the travel time. And yesterday, my stomach acids made me feel sick and uncomfortable that i thought I'm traveling forever.

But its okey. I will try to ride in again later and check the travel time i failed to do yesterday.

Kids School Assignment

My hubby's nephew, Mico, is living with us and he's 6 years now. My hubby decided last summer that it would be better if he and his aunt will live with us so my in-laws can have a companion when we are in the office.

Good thing that we enrolled Mico in an elementary school just a walking distance from our house. He will never feel tired travelling (especially during rainy season) going to school and back home.

But one thing i never expected is doing his daily assignment. You know, sometimes I can't understand why some teachers are giving their students those kinds of assignment that they can never do. Like drawing. I have these funny times with my niece, Reine (she's grade 4 now), when i visited them last time, she was all dressed up going to school and yet she and my eldest sis was cramming for one thing left to his skeleton drawing... there's no description on what is "hip bone".

So my sis asked me, "Yeth, what is hip bone?, make it fast, Reine will going to be late!" she almost shouting and I can't help but to freak out also.

And so, i answered: " It's the bone connecting the waist and the legs!" and which she immediately write down to the bond paper.

Hahaha! After they left, we can't help the urge to laughed hard as we realized that it is not the "real" meaning of hip bone. But what the heck....were in a rush! Unless her teacher will noticed it wrong. My niece will surely cry.

And last thing i know, my sister text me that Reine got a perfect score for her skeleton project!

See, my 'description' of the hip bone matters. =)

Taekwondo Champ

Well, that's our wish Vince to become as he master his way up on his taekwondo lessons. He is now a yellow belter and he improved a lot. Enrolling your kids in this class is costly and it spells e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e. But when you see them having a great time and they are happy, its worth it. Vince now is more discipline and he interacts well to people. Gone are his shy days and he is very active in his class. We really love to see him this way, naughty sometimes but sweet and humorous. Way to go, Vince! =)

His class in San Beda, Alabang

practicing the moves

at inter school event

preparing for his fight

fighting his way in

Finally, his certificate given to him by his master
