Old Places

When a friend asked me to join them in a dinner meeting with Patrimonio family, I honestly told her I can’t come for so many reasons. I don’t feel like going out after work because I was dead tired, the meeting place was quite too far from the office, Friday means heavy traffic going to MRT and the MRT during rush hours means disaster. I have lots of alibis in my mind but it means a lot to have this meeting for our May 5 party for Tin. So even if I have hundred reasons not to go, I have one main reason to see them.

I have to go to Araneta in Cubao to meet them but we decided to go first at Eastwood, Libis while the others are watching the basketball finals. And while at my friends car going to Libis I suddenly felt goose bumps and all the memories came back when I used to travel from Cubao to Libis every day for almost 3 years. It’s amazing how the place transformed from having just a few business buildings to a well known spots now with all tallest structures everywhere. I have this urged to go to IBM building and see if my old friends are still there but I need to reserved the seats in a Korean restaurant and I’m having fun with my other 2 friends whose with me that time.

I’ll promise myself I will go there again if time permits. I still haven’t show hubby the world of Eastwood City. We will do it some other time. ♥

Stress Reliever

I’ve been under pressure the whole week that I’m longing for this day, Friday, to come. I’m acting a bit weird that even if it’s only Monday, I’m wishing that the next day will be Friday. But can you blame me when you have a new job that requires you to transfer from one computer to another? Or maybe I am not used in doing that but I hope all will be okay on the days to come. I just need a comprehensive time management to do multi-tasking from now on.

But forget about the stress, I finally made some reservations for our Subic get away tomorrow. That added some pressures on my mind when most of the hotels I’ve checked online are fully booked. But alas! I’ve made a reservation before the day ends but I booked on two different hotels but just the same it sounds cool.

I’m looking forward for our Subic adventure and Nathan will come with us together with my Mom and mother in-law. Happy weekend!

11.11.11

It’s Friday again and yes, the date is 11.11.11.  I’ve read on some news that most of the couple got married today because of this extraordinary date.  But most of us can’t notice the date until you’ve realize that it was indeed rare. But the majority  even bother unless something unusual happens.

I just finished decorating our living room for Christmas and I need few more things to buy for the wall decors and this weekend will be one of the busiest weekends for us.  Nathan will have his 2nd pneumo vaccine tomorrow and we will attend the birthday dinner party of my godchild.  On Sunday, we’ll go to church at Greenbelt and of course, stroll around the area. Hubby wanted me to list down the names  of our godchildren, family and relatives so we won’t me missing someone on the gift giving day.  So I guess I have to start buying gifts as early as today though I already bought few last month.

I heard some not so nice news from my family but I needed to stay on focus.  I lay it all down to God so He’ll give me strength to be strong and tough and look on the brighter and positive side of life.  I have all the reasons to be thankful to Him.

Happy Weekend, blogging friends! ♥

Longest Celebration

Time really flies and its BER months again.  I can see some early Christmas decorations on sale in the malls and some few stores having an early display.  Well, Philippines is well known on celebrating the longest Christmas ever and it’s the most awaited event of the year.

Our hands are full on the coming months including Nathan’s first birthday and hubby said we shouldn’t forget our anniversary celebration.  He plans to celebrate it out of town but I want to concentrate more on Nathan’s upcoming party.  And I guess he will agree on that.

I’m having a heavy heart now in my work.  Few people just can’t seem to please and that we can’t explain why.  I’ve been in this job for almost 8 years now and I’ve learned to just do what my work requires me to do and shut down all the negative vibes coming my way. I just wish we can work on harmonious way but I guess some people don’t even know the meaning of that word.

It’s Friday again and after a long weekend last week that we spent on going out, I hope I can rest well this time.  But with Nathan around who seems to forget how to get tired, good luck to us.  Happy Weekend to all!

Rainy Friday

The other side of my brain is telling me not to wake up, go back to sleep for few more hours and send a message to my supervisor that I can’t go to work, I can hear the heavy pouring of rain outside and that makes me want to go back to bed and rest. But in reality, I’m here at work and chilling’ on my table on a lunch break. It’s still raining outside and I’m having a heavy heart that if it continue till late afternoon, I will be having a hard time going home again! Oh my, I don’t want to think I’m stepping on the dirty flood waters again and my clothes soaking wet. Last night, I wake up having a pain feeling on my left ear and I jumped on my medicine drops my EENT doctor prescribed to me the last time I complained about it. It helps a lot. That’s one problem I always encountered during rainy season and I really don’t like it.

It’s Friday and I’m supposed to do some grocery shopping after work. I just wish I still have the energy to stop by at SM or Puregold to shop later.

Moving On

There are things that happened for a reason.  And I as travel to work today, there are so many things that keep flashing on my mind.  But I knew that to be able to move on is not to dwell in the past.  You need to forgive your oppressors and forgive yourself for thinking against them just to get even.

You never thought that the person who will betray you is the one you helped the most during the critical days in life of that person.  Who knew?  We never know unless it happens and you realized that all the things you worked hard for is not that worth anymore.

As we take all the courage to stand up and prove them wrong, many will think otherwise. Suddenly you’ll stop because honestly, it doesn’t matter, the damage has been done.

We just hope that amidst all these things, we will just keep the faith.  So heads up, look straight, and think of many wonderful things that will come your way because challenges will make you strong.  Remember, nothing is indispensable when it comes to this.  All we need to do is to believe in ourselves.

Anyways, happy TGIF, blogger friends! ;)

Meet and Greet

TGIF again and as usual, I’m feeling cold and I’m so lazy to work! Ha-ha!  I will meet my high school buddies after work because they really can’t forget that I need to treat them for my late birthday dinner.  Though it’s 3 weeks overdue, they said I can’t pass and I need to treat them fair and square, ha-ha!

It is suppose to be a long weekend, but our company just emailed us that we will have our general assembly tomorrow at 2pm! It is suppose to be our rest day. But I’m happy that this Monday is a legal holiday! No work, more fun! Yes!

To Do's

It’s TGIF again :)

We have plans of celebrating Mom’s birthday this Sunday because unfortunately, the non-working holiday this Monday was cancelled and that is the also Mom’s birthday, August 23.  Hubby wants to spend the day in Tagaytay City, though I’m not sure if the car is available.  But yes, I’m missing that place too.   I want to taste the freshly baked raisin’s bread in Bag of Beans store. I simply love Tagaytay.

But tonight, I’ll go out with my PEX (Pinoy Exchange) friends in and we will sing our hearts out in a karaoke bar.  A friend was kind enough to do the reservation and I’m happy that we will able to see each other again after our August 8 get together.  We will try to discuss some important matters in our group and it will be hard but it’s for the better.  Then tomorrow, hubby and I will be heading to Laguna to prepare for my mother’s 63rd birthday celebration.

Hoping for a wonderful weekend!

Just Happy

I have so many reasons today to feel happy. But it boils down to these reasons why I should feel great today.

Thank God it’s Friday once again.

Hubby finally got their much awaited yearly bonus.

Monday is another special non-working holiday because of the national elections.

Sunday is Mother’s day and I’m thinking on what can I give my mom and my mother in-law on their special day.

I still have some body pains and swing moods because of my period but that’s nothing because I only think of happy thoughts now.

Happy Weekend, friends! =)

Good Week

I must say that it’s been a fulfilling week for me. I know there’s no great news or happenings but I am happy and contented that this week passed that I didn’t feel any stress at all. This is indeed new to me. Ha-ha.

We finally had our annual physical/medical exams last Wednesday. I’m not sure about my urine test but I have to be positive about it, that’s why I drink a lot of buco or coconut juice nowadays to help me clean my body toxins =)

I want to congratulate myself for doing a great job on my diet plans. I lessen the intake of carbo foods, I try not to eat after 6pm but I didn’t forget to eat afternoon snacks to help relieved my stomach from being hungry (though hubby is really tempting me to eat with him) and I exercise before I went to sleep using my abs blaster (good luck with that!). I like how it feels really good knowing that you’re slowly losing weight. I need to put in mind that self discipline is also a virtue. I really wanted to trim down and I pray that I can continue doing what I started.

I'm looking forward for a blessed weekend in our family. Thank God it's Friday! =)

A Blessed Day

It was a blessed Friday for us in our company. They decided to give their regular employees a big time bonus for a job well done last year. And I must say that I can only see happy faces everywhere I go in our premises. And all are eyeing for a nice treats to themselves and for their families.

I called my eldest sister to pick me up in the office. My Mom, Aubrey and my sister came and treated them at the dinner and their groceries for a week. I gave Mom and Papa something for them to spend. I asked hubby what he wants when we went to Mall of Asia after work, but I know he’s tired, he said he will think it over. But I bought for myself instead, a nice pair of rubber shoes/sneakers and a dress at Bench boutique (ha-ha). We waited for the 50% off in French Baker but I must say that their bread is getting expensive everyday, whew!

Tomorrow, I will tell my mother in-law that I will treat them to her favorite John Lloyd Cruz-Bea Alonzo movie. She can watch it with our house help because I will attend Cathy’s get together tomorrow afternoon.

This is indeed TGIF! Thank, God for the blessings =)

Beautiful Girl

I finally met Cathy Remperas of PBB Double Up (a reality show here in the Phils.) last Friday. I doubted at first if I can go with my other friends in Pinoy Exchange.com because we had a meeting that day and the meeting place in Edsa Shangri-La Mall was too far from my office in Sucat, Paranaque and the traffic in Edsa was unbearable.

But I made it. I ride a bus going to Magallanes and then take an MRT ride to Shaw Blvd. I was just on time and I changed my office clothes to a casual dress and then I saw Cathy standing with my other friends. She is beautiful, I’m taller than her though she looks likes tall in the TV and she has the same aura of what we projected her in the show, spontaneous, happy and always smiling. We proceeded in the California Pizza Kitchen because that’s the first restaurant we saw on that floor. We can’t just move around to check on the other place to eat because Cathy was already with us.

We ordered the foods, and she ate while telling us that the foods will surely ruined her diet. We told her that she’s thin already and no need to go on diet anymore. She talked on her starting TV career and we planned for the get together on March 6.

I noticed that she has an olive skin, and her eyes are indeed beautiful. Her face is so small I can shape my palm on her face. We went on giving her our gifts and she’s thankful that she thought it’s her birthday that day. We went out at 10pm and everybody was so happy being with her again. I wish her the best in her showbiz career.

Happy Feet

I take a different route on the way home tonight because I really wanted to try the newly opened salon in the area where I usually took another ride going home. There’s a package of P200 ($4.44) for a foot spa with manicure and pedicure. And I think this fits to my budget when it comes to beauty treatment. I have been complaining to hubby that needed a foot massage because it was ages ago since I done it at the mall (well, mall rate is way more expensive than a local salon). But my curiosity on trying this new salon is overwhelming that I have this urge to go and try one of their services.

At first I peeked into their window and checked if there’s a lot of customers so I can back out anytime without going inside but I guess it was for me, I saw 2 empty coaches that meant for the foot and hand massage customers. The owner is friendly; the salon is air conditioned and the assigned staff works great in my hands and most especially with my feet. I gave her a nice tip after.

I reached home just in time to watch the last episode of a phenomenal drama TV series (May Bukas Pa) and hubby informed me that my sister called that we will have to attend my cousin son’s wedding in Makati tomorrow afternoon. See, I really need to have a happy feet because the attire is formal =)

Angels in us

There must be a happy angel lurking in our work place today.  Everyone seems so hyper and cheerful.  In contrast to the sad and irritating news about the future of our account/project transitions yesterday, most of us are having a joyful mood right now.  We ate together in the nearest food store outside our office and shared some good stories about us.  The people in our warehouse, though I saw them very busy with their loads, they groove to my dance music and keep laughing with their dancing style. If I only have my camera with me, I can even post their weird steps in youtube (ha-ha!) Even the bosses here are quite in their spirited self.  I can now believe that an angel showered us with a happy dust.

We even pose for this picture (they called us the 5S, in line with our company’s campaign for this famous Japanese management methodology) =)

Anyways, it’s Friday again and weekend means rest! There’s a 3 day sale in the nearest mall and most of all, it’s payday time! It can be one good reason to be happy, right? So I'm wishing you all a happy weekend blogging friends! Enjoy! =)

Unfair!

Would you agree with me? I was browsing the net when I saw this suppose to be New Moon book cover featuring Bella and Jacob with my favorite vampire Edward on the back ground.  And it comes with a free poster! How lucky for those first time buyer of the Twilight Saga books. I wish I can have that book cover also.

It’s TGIF again, and I have two more birthday parties to attend.  How can I ever start my diet scheme? Hubby keeps on teasing me that I can’t do it.  I have to prove him wrong! =)

My things to do.....

TGIF! I have two precious days to enjoy. So precious for a working wife like me.  I have plenty of things to do in my mind right now.  And these are the top ten.

1.         I can watch more Asian drama in mysoju.com =)

2.         Since hubby will attend some training at work tomorrow, I have time to rearrange things again in our room.

3.         I’m asking hubby if we can go to Quaipo if he gets off to work early.  I hope after lunch will do.

4.         I promised Aubrey that I will buy some of her things at school.  Hopefully she can go with us so she can check her things personally.

5.         My office mates are asking me to join the face book mania so they can add me up. I might create an account tonight.

6.         Will check on all the pictures uploaded in my PC.  I would like to print those pictures and put it in a photo album.

7.         I want a body massage! =)

8.         And a nice and long sleep with the alarm off and without rushing to take a bath in the early morning.

9.         Still can’t get over with my Boys Over Flower fever and I want more of them! Lol! So I’m digging up the net for more news and photos =)

10.       Lastly, I want to lay down on our bed all day but that’s impossible with the above 1-9 to do’s.

Will keep you posted! Happy weekend friends! =)

Reasons to Smile

I know, I know… there are lots of reasons to smile today.  It’s Friday and it’s pay day (yippee!) and I’m imagining our kitchen right now because we have to do some groceries after work, I’m thinking what else is lacking in our supplies.

One more reason is that hubby finally got his driver’s license yesterday and the only problem is we don’t have the car yet (ha-ha!) Well at least I have that thing to encourage him to save more so we can able to buy our own car.

We are going to Pampanga tonight. Hubby needs to get some important documents there so we can process Tatay’s benefits.  Though my sister needs the car because Vince is sick and she needs it just in case, she let us borrow her car again but we should go back on Saturday night.

Oh well, we will be travelling again this weekend and goodluck to us =)

Life Challenge

Thank God it’s Friday.  I feel so tired this whole week and I can only think of my 2-day rest from work.  But Tatay is in the hospital again for his blood transfusion, his recent blood test shows that his hemoglobin drops from 6.8 with less than a month from his last hospitalization.  Even hubby is having a hard time looking for a blood donor now. Good thing some of friends at work asking their friends if they can donate blood.

The good news is Tatay is already had a go signal from his doctor to go home tomorrow morning.  So hubby is rushing some documents from his office now.  By next week, we will accompany my in-laws going back to Pampanga. That is the initial plan and I don’t know if hubby will look for the nearest hospital there in case Tatay needs some check-ups and blood transfusion in the future.  They still need to talk about it, though.  As for me, I can only give suggestions and I’ll stick with my hubby’s side for support.

I have so many things to do in my mind right now.  But my body needs to energize first and I need my much needed sleep and rest but I guess I have to take a leave from work again to be able to do that. Come to think of it, i believe it was "inside" that feels weak and stressed.
