Living Mye Life

TGIF again and as usual, I’m feeling cold and I’m so lazy to work! Ha-ha!  I will meet my high school buddies after work because they really can’t forget that I need to treat them for my late birthday dinner.  Though it’s 3 weeks overdue, they said I can’t pass and I need to treat them fair and square, ha-ha!

It is suppose to be a long weekend, but our company just emailed us that we will have our general assembly tomorrow at 2pm! It is suppose to be our rest day. But I’m happy that this Monday is a legal holiday! No work, more fun! Yes!

My brother went back to Qatar today.  He spent the night to our house since his flight is 10am and he needs to be at the airport by 7am.  I was able to talk to him about our family and future plans.  And I suddenly felt right that moment that I missed talking to my only brother like that.  Like the way we used to be.  And I’m quite sad that he spent most of his time in his family in the province and wasn’t able to bond that much.  I guess that’s one thing you need to sacrifice when you already had your own family.  The time that you will be spending with them is really precious, like the light feeling of happiness you can never imagine. 

As I bid him good bye, I just sat in the dining chair and he went straight to me and give me a high five.  He said we will work together now because my youngest sister decided to leave our Laguna house and live in a condo in Paranaque.  My father doesn’t want to leave the house because he likes the place, and he’s old now and I am so sad with that drastic move of my sister.  So my brother told me that we share in the expenses of the house in Laguna while we are waiting for the turn over of the house he bought in Alabang so they can transfer there.  My sister wants to sell the house and there's nothing more to argue about it.  I just wish I can turn back the hands of time and make it right.   We just wish that everything will turn out right this time.

Last night, before I went to sleep, I made this no-bake refrigerator cake and I just put lots of fresh fruit cocktails on top.  Done! My family will surely love this one.  And oh, my diet again! Ha-ha!

While hubby is taking his well deserved rest at home, I always had this urge to take a leave of absence everyday so I can spent the day and rest with him.  I’ve been longing for that moment for so long but I can’t do that, I already used most of my vacation leave and I need to control it because we have some out of town plans for our wedding anniversary this October 16.  

And good thing he’s at home right now, he can concentrate on doing some man jobs like looking for someone who can clean our aircon which I think needs a major clean up because it didn’t give much of the cool my hubby wants every night. He kept on complaining on that before but now he has all the time in the world for that.

He also finds some time to clean his storage cabinet from all his electronic stash and he even upgraded our desktop PC/TV and good thing I can now watch freely on my favorite channels without going down in the living room.  We are both busy watching Merlin series and was about to finish the musical/comedy series Glee.  I love being at home :)

We celebrated my Mom’s birthday yesterday with a simple get together in our house in Laguna. We cooked special menu for her and we bought cake and had some cocktail drinks that I made it myself. We sing our hearts out and I know that even if my brother didn’t make it through yesterday because of flu and cough, he greeted Mom and promise he will visits here before he leave to Qatar this Wednesday.

Then today, hubby and I strolled with Mom at Festival Mall, we ate in Savory Restaurant because my hubby insisted Mom needed to eat noodles for long life (ha-ha!) I’m so happy that I was able to celebrate Mom’s birthday with her. I saw that she’s happy and I’m glad that I spent most of the time with her more often.
