Something to Worry about

TGIF again and I am really worried that hubby is still sick.  I wanted him to have his full rest but he can’t do it when office emails keeps coming on his phone.  I want to hide his phone and his laptop but I know he really needs to be updated because they had major problems at work last week.

My father will celebrate his 71st birthday this Sunday (July 12).  And as we plan on how to celebrate it, we all found out that we are having problems on our schedules.  My younger sister wants to celebrate it tomorrow for she needs to review Vince on Sunday for his 1st-pre quarter examination which will start on Monday.  But hubby is still sick and I know he will never make it on the planned lunch in a restaurant.  And I will never allow him to go out too in his current situation.  My older sister called me that Aubrey is definitely our big girl now, she was selected by her school to play volley ball plus she has MTAP (Math Teachers Association of the Phils.) review every Saturday. Definitely, Saturday lunch is impossible so I called my other sister to squeeze in some few hours for Sunday.  This is the only day we can be complete.

This is a once in a year event and I hope we can all celebrate it with Papa. I have other options and hopefully we can make it though on his big day.

Sick Leave

I was about to get out of our room and was about to go to work when I heard hubby’s feint groan. I thought he was just in his deep sleep but I take a closer look and saw his red face. I wake him up and asked if he’s okay, he said he’s not okay so I took his temperature. He has fever and he said his head is aching. Hubby rarely gets sick. Maybe because of the rain-shine weather or he was so pressured again at work.

I decided to leave at work to take care of him. He has this habit of not taking medicines but instead drink lots of water or juice and i have to keep a watchful eye on him. And look at him after he took it. He slumped across our bed and sleep like a big baby =) Oh, he must really in pain. I hope he get well soon.

Farewell, MJ!

I wanted to watch more but my eyes couldn’t keep up for a little more time.  I am nearly on tears watching the Michael Jackson’s Memorial in Staples Center in LA and telecast by our local channel (abs-cbn).  The front row of the stage was full of large bouquets of different multicolored flowers and Mariah Carey sang the first song of the memorial, the very famous “I’ll be There”.  And many more big stars follow as the memorial progresses.  I wasn’t able to finish the show so I’ll better watch it online or in youtube.

Have a safe trip to heaven, MJ! May you rest in peace.  Your songs will be in our hearts forever.

Home Office

How can you say no to this office table that was on sale? Hubby thought that it’s time to say goodbye to my old computer table since I already bought a flat screen monitor.  So we grabbed this office table that was on sale for 25% off.  Though I feel that I’m just in the office having this kind of table, it’s quite cute though that our bedroom looks cozy and spacious with my new arrangement. A candle stand that was given to me by a friend was crushed into pieces by my niece when she’s trying to sort my things on top of my small cabinet. So I asked her to just play on my computer and never touched anything breakable =) I was able to get rid of those unwanted displays on top of my old computer table.  I’m happy with the result and I resumed watching Asian dramas when it’s all done.

Baby's Big Day

TGIF! =)

Harvy celebrated his 1st birthday last Sunday and we all came to celebrate with him.  It was so hot that day and Harvy was not in his usual jolly self.  He kept on wailing for his mother and he seems distracted on his visitors.  But he will automatically stop crying and looked at me when I raised my camera and said to him, “picture! picture!”

He’s a big boy now and we wish him all the best in this world.  Happy B-day Harvy! =)

Long and Lasting

Friends.  I had a very happy and cheerful life in high school before. I enjoyed it the most especially the last two years in my secondary school life. My being friendly and always smiling nature earned me friends from different sections and I’m really had a time of my life with them.

But through the years, we know things changed. But what I’m proud is having my closest friends still in contact with me … till now. We promised ourselves that we will celebrate each others birthday every year and that will serve as our get together. We are all busy in our daily life but we see to it that we fulfilled this promise. And we did. Last Friday (June 26), we celebrate my high school seat mate’s birthday in Pizza Hut at SM Sucat. I came there first, soon, they are one by one showing up in our meeting place. We happily talked about our lives and we are expecting another bunch of joy because Penny will give birth this August or September. It’s her 3rd baby and Emy and I can only heave a sigh of envy. But we are all happy for her. And we will be the baby’s god parents! Imagine that.

So we ate, laughed, talked, joked about each other till we are full and just did some quick stroll, bought something and then we bid each other good byes again. But we promised to meet each other again on my birthday this August.
