Happy Years Together

Happy 6th  Wedding Anniversary Haney Jhon!

Thank you for all the best years we had together, for being such a wonderful and very understanding husband and for believing in us. I can only wish good health and more blessings.  I thank God for having you in my life and for giving me a lifetime partner and I’m so proud of having you beside me.  More happy years ahead, my dearest hubby! I love you forever.

Bon Voyage!

Doc Ed will be leaving to Singapore this Tuesday but he never forgot to meet us that Sunday.  We ate at Chillis in Greenbelt 5 in Makati and we talked about his 3 weeks stint in Italy.  He even gave us a scented rosary and it was really beautiful.  His pictures of the enormous pizzas while they dine at a local restaurant there were awesome.  I want to go there too! Ha-ha!

Ann Li and her friend April came by and we chat as we dig on a veggie salad (but I still don’t like it and I only ate the chicken toppings). But the mini burgers and the pesto pasta were great.   Ann gave Doc Ed a souvenir signed photos and we stayed for an hour in Seattle’s Best.  I'm gonna miss some good times with Doc Ed, he’s one of a person I'd like to talk to, highly intelligent and very accomadating.   He’s a pediatrician and he will specialize in Oncology in Singapore.  We will meet you again, doc, after three years.  Take care of yourself, God bless and thanks for all the wonderful times we had with our fellow Jamli friends.

Hairy Problem

I have to do something to my hair (ha-ha!) I noticed that it’s longer now and it’s frizzy! Hair nightmare! I told hubby about it and he told me, “Yah, it’s kind of dull and dry” and I answered, “Kind of?! It’s super dry!”  But he replied that I shouldn’t worry, I just need to go to my favorite hair centre in Mall of Asia and problem solved.

The problem is, if hair this long (below bra line) then the price of hair treatment is expensive (they based on hair length) plus I really wanted to try the colored cellophane for my hair.  But then our 6th year anniversary is fast approaching and maybe I could sweet talk hubby to that it will be his anniversary gift for me so my conscience wouldn’t bug me of the costly slash to our budget because of my hair.  The thing is I need to think about it many times, and that will be my biggest problem (he-he).

Stay at home

Today, I fulfilled hubby’s request to cook for them. We went at the wet market early and bought his wish viand for the day which is pork binagoongan. I said last time that I will cook the baked lasagna since I have a lasagna noodles I bought in Subic the last time we went there. He reminded me to buy the ingredients, meaning that is his requested snack in the afternoon.

Cooking lunch is an easy job for me and they like the new variations I’ve done so that it will not turn too salty but I never imagined that baking lasagna will be that tiring and will take too long to cook. It’s my first time to cook it and I told my hubby that I will never question again why the price of lasagna in a restaurant or fast food is way too higher than spaghetti (ha-ha!). After I baked the lasagna, I’ve got two thumbs up approval from my mother in law and most especially from my hubby. But I swear I will never cook/bake it again except for some very special occasions. I was so tired I told hubby I want to sleep early.

So, who says that staying at home during weekend can be too boring? Well, not for me, I enjoy staying at home while reading my books or just cooking for them.

Rest and Relax

This weekend, we will just stay at home and relax. After some controversial incident happened at work last week, I felt I needed this much needed rest. Though it’s not much physically but more on mental aspect, in due time all of us will have our own peace of mind and we can all move on. As for me, I’ll regard this as a new chapter in life, knowing that you really can’t please everybody and trust and honesty is all that matters.

Staying at home makes me concentrate on the books my hubby gave me. I’m a fast reader and just hours of continues reading I can finish one whole book which has 3 different stories. I can’t find time to read those books because we focused on watching the US series we bought in Quiapo and that occupies most of my time after work and during weekends and made me feel sleepy at work. I hope hubby will not ask me to go to Quiapo since we need to buy the last two seasons of Tudors and the season one of Glee is incomplete so we need to replace it.

It feels good to be at home and enjoy the moment with your family. Happy Weekend, friends! :)

Blinded

Just when I tried to understand all the reasons why it happened, I found out that it’s more than meets the eye. We found out that it’s more than that. And it made me felt dizzy and I really can’t believe it but many are confirming the story. (Sigh)The history keeps on repeating.

Someday you will learn from what just happened. And while you think that everything you do now is right, I know you will find out that you can run but you can’t hide. I hope some divine intervention will guide you to see the correct path again before it’s too late. And if you are smart enough, you will realize that it’s you that I’m talking about.

Ugly Truth

I believe there are 3 sides of the stories, your version, her/his version and the truth. But the end of it, we all know that God can only know the truth above all.

I learned to hold my feelings for someone whom you thought your friend and a buddy in some ways. When all I think is genuine concerns to them to stop holding grudges on some issues they're not even included, they fire back to me and made me the worst person ever walked on earth. I’ve been a good friend to them for years and I’d become frank and freely talked to them on some issues and yet all I got now is this.

I know now what to do. At some point, I’m glad that I found out that this is where you draw the lines, on yourself and on the others. That even if you gave your all, at one snap of a finger, it will goes down the drain. Good thing I always keep for myself. And this is one valuable lesson of surviving in this temporary life.

Happy Sunday! :)
