Happenings

The 3-day weekend are about to end and i think the next holiday will be on November and that means we have to use our leave credits at work if want to do something on weekdays. Hubby and I with Vince and Franzine went on a birthday party of hubby’s friend and office mate’s son last Saturday. And these two kids had a blast especially Franzine who really likes to see magic shows and Vince had a dragon tattoo on his arm. Aubrey Reine wasn’t able to come because she had a practice at school where she was chosen in their school’s volleyball team. She’s becoming to be a big girl now.

We went to Laguna after the party to relax but not to forget my hubby's malling time. We strolled around Festival Mall in Alabang (near San Pedro) and we played at Tom's world (always had a kids in us) and treat ourselves on a Racks dinner. It has been a tiring week for me, i don't know (lack of sleep, maybe?) There are so many activities the whole day, late night sleep and then early morning wake up time (because the kids always knocks on the door to wake us up!) My cousin came from IlocosSur because she will pick his hubby up in the airport from the Middle East, a little bonding time again till its time to wrap up everything and went home. I will surely miss this long vacation.

Good Job!

I withdrew my blogging earnings today (oh, I really love it! lol!)  And I’m thinking if that is enough to buy my Elba oven.  I want to start baking because I have this idea of giving my baked products as a gift this Christmas.  Next week, it’s a BER month already and time really flies.  But I have to complete first my baking utensils.  I’m so excited about it.

Hubby got another problem in the office.  I can only give him strength and advise to carry on. But last night, I feel so sad for him that I am looking for the sign if he has take the challenge of staying there and face the never ending office issues or move out to take another steps on his career.  He loves that job, because he earned it.  But some people step on the others just to make it on top that easy.  Backstabbing is their easy way to achieve it.  What a lame move.  Oh, it’s getting on my nerves again.  Hubby is not used in this situation because he always plays fair.  I can only rant and get angry when he told me the stories and wants to fight for him but what’s the use? He himself must do something about it.  He must talk to the concern persons and I pray that everything will be fine.  Okay, so much for that.

So glad that’s it Friday payday again, and Monday is yet another non working holiday! Hubby needed that long break so his mind can move away from that negative issues at work.  We have children’s party to attend tomorrow and Vince and Francine will be going with us.

Happy Weekend! =)  Aja, aja!

PetSter

Well this is not a new site we can look or visits for.  It’s just a tag name for those too close for comfort people.  Haha! Am I being mean again? Nah, I just don’t like it, it’s not healthy and it triggers a lot of misunderstanding and miscommunications.  But as I said before, life is like that, you have to deal with it no matter what.  Uhum, maybe because the weather is different again (what else is new?) when I thought the environment is getting cool, the next thing turns hot again.

Am I talking in riddles? I just want to say, keep it cool dude! We’ve been there before over and over again. When it's happens this time around, it makes no difference at all.  Aja!

Mom's Big Day

It’s Mama’s 64th birthday today. And it was a 3-day celebration and the first time that we are complete in the family and even some of our close relatives came by and stayed with us in Laguna making my mom so happy. My brother and one of his younger twins, Paolo came from the province (he said the eldest is sick with tonsillitis) and my Aunt’s family came too, so we decided to at least take this rare opportunity to have a get together also. Below are the series of this 3 days birthday celebration of my mother.

Friday – We went for a lunch out at Leslie’s in Tagaytay. Though it rains on the way up there, good thing it stopped before we got out in the car. And then we strolled around the areas buying foods and fruits as we pass the almost traffic highway and the kids decided for a horse back riding and the oldies tried it too! =) We really had fun that day. We laughed hard as we joked with each others at the car. And bought some beef meat at the Mahogany market to continue the food trip at home.

Saturday – We prepared a sumptuous dinner for Mama, all of it are her favorite that she can’t choose what to eat first. Everyone participated and sing a happy birthday for her. The truth is, we are all in high spirits and our family is complete that we talked at the garden until the wee hours of the morning. Mom never asked for a gift so we all gave him cash gift (in which we know that's what she really want, ha-ha!)

This afternoon, hubby and I asked Mom to stroll around Mall of Asia since she and my dear husband shared one thing in common, endless malling (ha-ha! and that’s why he is my mom’s favorite in-law, lol!) We had dinner in Kenny’s and we walked around the bay area at the back of the mall and we played in Tom’s world.

At 64, my mom has still wants to do so many things in her life. And we are making it possible for her. She deserves all the glory in this life and raising five big and burly children is one achievement of a mother. We owe it to her and she knows how much we love her. So she deserved this one of a kind 3-day celebrations we gave her.

Happy Birthday, Mama!

One Year!

We celebrated our first year anniversary here in our office warehouse today.  Our bosses contributed for the food just this morning and I called Amber’s restaurant to ordered foods that they can easily prepared just in time for lunch.  What can it be except for pansit, fried chicken and pichi-pichi.  So when we thought that the foods are for everyone, we shared it for everybody but I kind of think that if without my will to ask for the contribution of the bosses, we will end up eating on some food stalls outside our office. We are left hanging and waiting (but i have a good feeling that it will end up like this) and good thing we have some food we shared to our couriers first and then we digged on it after.

I hope you know what I mean.  It’s kind of disappointing that it was ever happening considering that we are only few here in the office.  But life is like that and we have to deal with it everyday as long as we exist here.  It was never been the same before.  All I have to say is, carry on!

So here’s some of the pictures I took this lunch.  Despite some irritating changes, we are happy to share what we have, for all of us.  Happy Anniversary, Parts Center! =)

Good Boy and Good Girl

I told hubby I saw one cute little stuff doll at Blue Magic store in Mall of Asia. Little did he know that the doll is male and it has curly blond hair. When we entered the store, I looked around on their many cute stuff toys and I found David, the I am a good boy doll I’ve been looking for. And when he saw the doll, he laughed out loud because they both have the same curly hair (ha-ha!) and we found out that It has a partner named Chloie, the I am a good girl doll that has pink hair and pearl earrings. So we got them and they really look nice in my glass cabinet.

Easy Downloads

I’ve been an avid users of rapidshare for quite some time now.  My friends and I downloaded many of our biggest files of songs and favorite videos but we can only rely on the given links of our other friends.  And sometimes it takes longer looking for some particular downloads and taking much of our time.  But now, rapidshare created a new search engine called Rapidshare Search in which we can conveniently look for our favorite download files in quick and easy way.

You can view recent rapidshare searches to give you some idea and some quick links.  With rapid4me.com, searching and downloading are now too easy and this is what we've been looking for.

Mami adventure

Take it with my husband to think of going to one’s place even if he’d been there so many years ago or even it changes its address he would still try to find the place. It brings back old memories as he always says. So when he kept on telling me about this old Chinese restaurant in Binondo I knew that one day we will be going there. And as if there will be some reasons not to go, we went there this afternoon. Well, we’re about to give up because it’s quite far walking from Quaipo to Benavidez St. in Binondo where the famous Siopao and noodles soup are being sold in Masuko Mami Restaurant. Unfortunately, my family is not that keen in eating noodles since my mom seldom cooked that for us before but hubby and his friend (who came with us) really enjoyed digging up the large bowl of wanton and beef mami.

The taipao (combination of various flavors) siopao is big enough to satisfy your hunger, but truthfully, I didn’t enjoy the food that much, maybe because I was so tired from walking and noodles is not really my type for a dinner. Amazingly, we are full enough to think of eating again in some other rice-serving restaurant. And my hubby was able to find again this one place he wished to revisit.

The big bowl of mami and one big size of taipao siopao.

Wonder Dog

I’m back at work and I just wish I can have few more days to rest.  My head still hurts and my eyes unfocused.  I promise I will not open my pc at night to rest my eyes.

I have some cute and funny moments with our pet dog Chase during the times that I was sick.  My mother in law said that Chase just stays in our room and don’t even eat his food or bark at all.  I remember last Sunday when I have fever, I saw him sleeping beside me and we even shared the same pillow. My hubby said that he was like that the whole day. When I ate at the bed because I am too weak to go down, he will just sit beside the bed table and watched over me.  So when he goes down to pee, my MIL blocked the stairs with boxes so he can’t go up so he eat his foods, but he becomes agitated, barks at them and keeps on moaning while trying his way up again.  All the times that I was sleeping, he also sleeps beside me, sometimes putting his head on my feet or playing with the socks I'm wearing.

They are worried that he’ll get sick too by not eating so I decided to go down and eat dinner at the dining table.  He went down with me and to their amazement, when Chase saw that I’m putting some soup in the bowl, he approached his dog bowl and chows all his foods while he keeps on glancing at me.  By the time I sit on the chair, he already finished his foods and he jumps on the empty chair beside me and watched me eat.

I was so touched on how he behaves that day.  Sometimes we wonder if he can really sense that I am sick.  And he’s helping me in his very own unique way.  We knew how sweet Chase is and he does things that made you think that he’s a human reincarnated. But I am so grateful that he accompanied me during the times that I am hurting.  What a wonder dog =)
