Those Times

Hubby made up for all the heart aches he’d given me last week (lol!) Well, actually, I was plunged with my so called “emotional me” because of my monthly period that I felt he’s ignoring me and he won’t understand my feelings and that he doesn't care, etc, etc. That I snapped at him every time, don’t want to see him and I’m being so unreasonable.  And yes, I can be unreasonable some times and I don't know why.

 

Good thing, he happens to know that I have those “maddening” time and he just laughed at it (and made me whine again for ignoring me).  But It's over now and since our company gave us our mid year bonus and of course it’s payday, I treat him at Racks Restaurant in Mall of Asia last Friday.  We ordered their famous baby back ribs and their clam chowder tastes really good!  We also watched Terminator Salvation and today, after we went to Cartimar, Pasay and bought Chase dog food (which is a whopping P75 ($1.53) dollar per kilo now) we again watched A Night in the Museum Part 2 (though I prefer the first movie) and munch at Wendy's for their new Baconator burger.  It was raining hard and the taxi line was so long that I’m having a second thought of just riding a bus but we have so many things to carry because we also did some grocery shopping and It’s kind of heavy and bulky. I just keep on muttering to myself that “Patience is a Virtue” until we reached the front row.

 

I guess we are just having the time of our life.  After all the hard works, sharing and bonding with your love ones are one of the best thing ever.

Future Beauty Queen

Aubrey Reine

She's only 10 years old.  She's as tall as her Tita (my youngest sis) and she dress up and acts like her Tita.  Many of our friends told her that she can pass to be a beauty queen like Lara Quigaman (Ms. International 2005) someday.  I got a chance to take this photo and she poses like she's always having a photo shoot.  It was so nice to see that from being such a cute baby she is all but grown up now.

Six Pack Vampire

Hmmm... my Friday gets more interesting....

Oh yes, I have to count few more months before I can see the movie version of New Moon, the second book in my favorite Twilight Saga series.  Looking at this released poster of New Moon, made me giggle in excitement. 


Now, now... how about this shirtless gorgeous vampire on earth...so sexyyy!!! =)

Twister in Manila

I just found out from my office mate that a giant (as they called it) twister  hits Manila bay yesterday afternoon (nearly dusk), kind of creepy though but I really wanted to see it live right before my eyes (he-he).  I remembered many years ago looking at the twin twisters after a storm hits Metro Manila and we are so nervous that it might go down and hit some trees or even houses.  Good thing they are just hanging mid air till it disappear.

 

Well, hearing some twister news made me think of that abrupt climate change movie of Jake Gyllenhaal and Dennis Quaid entitled The Day After Tomorrow, it might happen to this world and its really scary.

Heat Mania

Our local weather bureau said that temperatures in Luzon reached 36.5 degrees Celsius last Monday a record high this year and will remain hot till this day.  That explains why I’m having this annoying head ache and my body felt so heavy (not that I’m fat, I know =) and my mood changes.  You can feel the intense heat and you can’t even bear to walk outside without having an umbrella or shades.  I can’t imagine what will happen if you expose yourself outside the sun from 10am-2pm. 

 

When I reached home, I will automatically ventilate first our room for 5 minutes before I open our air conditioner setting aside the high bill on electricity next month.  I feel so exhausted and the electric fan won’t help either.  The problem is my old ear infection starts to bother me once again due to this intense hot-cold environment. Hubby and I would only go out to stroll after sunset to avoid the sun Heat wave, heat stroke, heat exhaustion or heat stress, whatever you call it, we wish rainy days will start soon.

Last Week of May

It's so hard to believe that we are approaching the last week of the month of May. How time flies…… So what are we expecting for the month of June? Hmmmm… opening of the school year, mid year bonus to some lucky employees and maybe the start of the rainy season (if the global warming won’t change that).

 

I’m happy that most of my “to do” lists last Friday happened.  Except for the Internet surfing and watching because hubby’s we-roam suddenly doesn't have any signal or connection in both our PC and laptop. I was so disappointed.  And for the first time, we stayed in the house the whole Sunday because my mother in law went to visit some relatives in Quezon City and no one will take care of Chase (our dog) if we go out too.


He had no choice but to watch Boys Over Flower and I’m glad that he likes the story! Actually, I have to start from episode one because of him but I have no problem repeating it all over again =)

 

What’s next on my list?  It’s Taiwan’s Hot Shot =)

My things to do.....

TGIF! I have two precious days to enjoy. So precious for a working wife like me.  I have plenty of things to do in my mind right now.  And these are the top ten. 

1.         I can watch more Asian drama in mysoju.com =)

2.         Since hubby will attend some training at work tomorrow, I have time to rearrange things again in our room.

3.         I’m asking hubby if we can go to Quaipo if he gets off to work early.  I hope after lunch will do.

4.         I promised Aubrey that I will buy some of her things at school.  Hopefully she can go with us so she can check her things personally.

5.         My office mates are asking me to join the face book mania so they can add me up. I might create an account tonight.

6.         Will check on all the pictures uploaded in my PC.  I would like to print those pictures and put it in a photo album.

7.         I want a body massage! =)

8.         And a nice and long sleep with the alarm off and without rushing to take a bath in the early morning.

9.         Still can’t get over with my Boys Over Flower fever and I want more of them! Lol! So I’m digging up the net for more news and photos =)

10.       Lastly, I want to lay down on our bed all day but that’s impossible with the above 1-9 to do’s.

My Bro's Special Day!

It was my brother’s birthday last Saturday and since he is in Qatar we decided to celebrate it just yesterday in Laguna.  Hubby’s cousin, aunt, nieces and my mother in law come with us so it was like a small party in the garden. We grilled pork meat, egg plant salad, and Mom cooked a special fish sinigang sa miso and I made tacos and penne spaghetti after they went swimming at the club house.  While eating, my brother called and he was so happy when we all greet him a happy birthday, he said he
 still at the office but definitely there will be a big celebration on their place after his duty.  He screamed stop it when we keep on telling him about the foods we made for him and we all laughed when he said he wants to go home to eat it (lol!)


He’s our only brother, and he’s one of the best brother in the world, I will put him in the competition if there’s any.  He’s the nicest guy I ever known and though are sorry for not having that “good” married life but he has his twins to serve him as an inspiration. 

 We can only wish him true happiness, good health and all the best in this world. He knows that our family loves him so much.

Bowl Time

During my early years in my previous company, my office mates and I usually went to a bowling place near our office.  And it was one of my favorite sports aside from volleyball and basketball.  I remember joining our department team when our company held a bowling tournament at Star Mall in Mandaluyong.  On their spare time, I also went with hubby (my bf then) playing with his office mates and it made me good at it.

 
After so many years, I again played bowling with hubby and my sister at Mall of Asia.  I admit, I lost my touch on the ball. During the time that I was playing volleyball at school I injured my right wrist on a wrong spike and I endured a bandage for almost 2 weeks.  Without a practice, I felt that a size 8 ball was heavier than the one I used before.  I settled with a size 7.  I lead the scoring but I tried using size 8 ball again and my right hand gave away.  I can’t lift anymore ball during the 9th frame and I lost with them.  But we are happy and especially my sister who insisted on trying the bowling lane in MOA.  She wish we can play there again next time.  And I must do better when it happens. =)

Reasons to Smile

I know, I know… there are lots of reasons to smile today.  It’s Friday and it’s pay day (yippee!) and I’m imagining our kitchen right now because we have to do some groceries after work, I’m thinking what else is lacking in our supplies.

One more reason is that hubby finally got his driver’s license yesterday and the only problem is we don’t have the car yet (ha-ha!) Well at least I have that thing to encourage him to save more so we can able to buy our own car. 

We are going to Pampanga tonight. Hubby needs to get some important documents there so we can process Tatay’s benefits.  Though my sister needs the car because Vince is sick and she needs it just in case, she let us borrow her car again but we should go back on Saturday night.

Oh well, we will be travelling again this weekend and goodluck to us =)
